John was a great guide adding small details that brought the Normandy invasion come clearer. A full day was needed to take this all in. We had a lovely lunch and were advised to stay at Coleville cemetery to witness the US flag turned down.

Our guide Matt Turner did so much more than relate the important history of D Day. He gave it common sense and extremely thoughtful context in ways we had never considered. Who were the German soldiers stationed there? What did the French think of it all? Reality versus myths on several surprising topics. We even learned about bocages (hedgerows) and had our first scrumptious Tarte de Normandie, Matt is a gifted and high energy storyteller who puts 150% into everything he does. We all commented on how lucky we were to have drawn the Matt Turner straw!

We had a wonderful day on tour with Matt Turner. Matt's knowledge is emence. We learned so much and have a better understanding of the events of the D-day. I will share the knowledge that I learned and the pictures I took with my students. Matt answered individual questions and showed me sights that my grandfather walked through in 1944. Matt was kind, courteous and personal with all guests on the tour. I highly recommend this tour.

You need a full day to see everything! Tour guide was amazing - knew everything we asked him and more. Wish we had time to see the museums in each location, but feel like we got the information from our guide. He recommended a great lunch spot (not a tourist trap). Our guide was great when we hit traffic - he knew how to get around the back roads! A very moving and intense tour. Well worth it. *Only wish he had told us NOT to park in the meeting parking location .....we got a ticket. :(

100% would do this tour again. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and had tons of great information and stories. He even modified it slightly to cater to some of our interests. We went on June 6th and he managed our schedule to get us successfully to all the places we were going with little to no delay, waiting or headache. Easily one if the best tours I have ever been on.

Unfortunately, the weather was very windy and cold, but Stephen, our guide, was knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. He was very amiable and provided about the best tour possible given the weather conditions. Note that this is a driving and sightseeing tour. No museums or time to visit museums were included.

The tour was outstanding, but the lunch allowed the small group to interact and tour guide explained to us things other then related to the tour. Seeing the beaches at high and low tide really gave you a feeling of what the soldiers went through on that day

Our guide was terrific and took us to all the main sites. Very knowledgeable and knew the answers to most of our questions. There were a few times where I wish he talked more between sites as there is clearly an abundance of history to be shared, but many folks may prefer to enjoy a quiet drive along the beautiful country side, so this is really a personal preference rather than a critique on the tour itself.
