We enjoyed our 1/2 day with Matt very much. He was knowledgeable and accommodating to the group. I personally think that the drive back to Bayeux it would have been nice to learn a little about the areas we were driving through, the countryside was beautiful and the home as well.

Guide was gave very limited insights into a most historical sight possibly due to a language barrier even though this was billed as an English friendly tour. As an example the car ride to and from the beaches was about 1/2 hour and he did little speaking. Not worth the money.

Steve provided enough history & detail & allowed enough time to walk around on our own and explore Pointe du Hoa, Omaha Beach & the American Cementary. If we had more time, we would have liked to see Utah beach & other memorials.

Stephen was an outstanding guide. Well prepared, studied, enjoyable. We decided on the half day, which for us turned out to be perfect as you get the “broad brushstrokes” of D-Day. For those wanting or knowing more history, I’d recommend the full day. We took the morning (6:12!) train from Paris to Bayeux. It’s an easy ten minute walk to the meeting point. We all agreed seeing the American Memorial Cemetery was the most moving and emotional part of the experience. But whatever you do, don’t miss seeing the stunning and massive sculpture Les Braves. A day well spent.
