      Excellent tour guide! We loved that we could start and stop the program as we took our time at some stations more than others. Speaker was very entertaining and had fun facts throughout the tour. Make sure to acclimate yourself before hand as you get used to the app and service.

      Frustrating to get to app to work

      Was never able To get it to work! I called customer service and there was no retired call. The employees at the Volcano check did not know how to help me. Very disappointing, I spent hours trying to get the app to work.

      Problems with Code and App

      I had difficulty accessing this tour from the viator app. Had to download the Shaka app then had problems using the codes provided. I was unable to contact anyone from Shaka for assistance as their office closed at 3pm Hawaiin time and it was 3:30 pm. I had to purchase another tour directly from the Shaka app. I am hoping to get refunded for one of the tours I purchased

      The tour is useful, inexpensive and more convenient. I get to focus on the places that my family would like to go without hustle. We travelled at our own pace in a more affordable way worry free.

      We enjoyed the park and looking at the Kīlauea caldera but not with this app purchase. I could not obtain the tickets in the Shaka app and was not able to listen to the guided tour. I would not recommend using Viator

      Easy to use guide. Perfect guide. Bring powerbank of some sort, drains phone fast because of GPS. Would do other tours with them.

      We enjoyed the island music, stories and information about each of the stops along the tour. Be sure to bring your power cable for the phone, this app drains batty life like no other app I've ever used.

      If you can rent a car or use your own car, this is the best tour than expensive guided tour. It saved Mr more than $500. Have seen more attractions than any guided tour.

      The guided tour is a very budget friendly way to explore the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The guide also gave tips on where to stop and where to skip. Just make sure you don't drive too fast so you don't miss his signals for turns. Wonderful tour with music and stories.

      Good but a little confusing

      We enjoyed touring around Volcanoes National Park. The audio portion of the tour was good, but we had a hard time coordinating it with where we were. There were a few places where we couldn't stop because of a lack of parking, so we had to skip around a bit. A map along with the app would have been helpful.

      Excellent way to learn about important spots and history of the park. Would recommned still stopping by the visitor center and asking park rangers what are currently the best trails and conditions

      Once we figured out how to restart the audio after making scenic stops it was a great experience. We were able to enjoy the entire volcano park and get helpful information along the way.

      We were unable to go on this tour on the day scheduled and I didn’t realize it was only good for one day. Things happen when on vacation and it seems like it should be available for a few days.

      Aloha Karen! I'm sorry to hear there seems to be some confusion. Shaka Guide tours can be used any time once purchased and will NEVER expire. This means you can use the tours over and over as much as you like. However Viator/TripAdvisor uses a booking system that requires a date and time for the bookings. Please know that dates and times totally do not apply to Shaka Guide tours as our tours can be taken any time. If you've already booked, you just need to download our Shaka Guide app and your purchased tours on to your phone. The steps for that are in the booking confirmation sent to you after your booking.       It was really good. We didn’t spend much money and still had guide with us on journey. The guy had really pleasant voice and he was sometimes even funny tho. (to make sure - our guide was just recorded voice in mobile app). It was really helpfull because we had map, music and lot of interesting informations with us. I recommend this guide!
