What To Expect

Since this Kona snorkeling trip departs from the waters inside of Keauhou Bay, you’re treated to a tour of the Kona coastline before even arriving at Kealakekua Bay for some of Hawaii’s best snorkeling. On this leisurely motor along the coast, be on the lookout for pods of spinner dolphins that splash in the waters near shore, and, if you’re lucky, there’s even the chance they could swim right along and jump by the bow of boat.

Once you arrive in Kealakekua Bay for 1.5 hours of snorkeling, the crew will assist you with snorkeling equipment and provide expert instruction for beginners. There’s also a selection of flotation devices if it’s easier to float than to swim. Once you’ve swam with the schools of reef fish and explored the colorful corals, return to the boat and splash in the water from the boat’s 15-foot (4.5-meter) water slide. Climb aboard from the very top deck, and drink in the panoramic view, and then go hurtling down towards the water where you’ll land with a smile and a splash.

You’ll also enjoy some onboard snacks such as a selection of tropical fruit, and, on the comfortable cruise back to Keauhou Bay, an assortment of beverages are available for purchase to bring the trip to a close.

We looked at other tours and maybe they are good as well, but we had a blast with this tour group. the crew was funny and informative and you get a nice 30 min boat ride with info about he locations you pass, then 1.5 hr snorkeling, and another nice 30 min ride back. We will do again!

A thoroughly enjoyable day. Crew is accommodating and attentive, the equipment solid, and the cove absolutely breathtaking. On the way out we saw a pod of spinner dolphins. One word of advice for anyone who is even mildly susceptible to motion sickness: Take Dramamine or some similar remedy before you get on the boat. The water can get really choppy

The boat ride out and back with the Captains knowledge narrating as well as the staff attention The equipment you provide as well as the snorkel instructions were very professional and user friendly I did not personally get in the water because of limited floatation assistance belts and the flippers did not fit my feet but other three family members did enjoy the water in the bay

Boat ride was relaxing we didn't have a huge crowd so that was nice. Love the option to use the.view boxes and the stairs up and down into the water was great and selling point for me .
