We had an amazing time in the tour! The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and we learned a lot. He was very accommodating. Each site there was a bathroom and snacks. The dinner was great! He takes you to places that you would not think to go outside of a tour. Numerous beautiful sites. Tour sizes are small too. The money was definitely worth the tour.

Excellent day trip. Long but worth it as covers a lot of the island in one day Aaron was an very knowledgeable pleasant tour guide. Great to be in a small group. All food and drinks supplied all day as well as extra clothing for the night time star gazing as it got cold !

Thank you Aaron for being a great guide! We had a lovely group as well! It was a small 12 people group and we were accompanied by two other groups/vans of the same size, each with their own guide. We were all extremely lucky because Kilauea had erupted just two days before and we were offered a magnificent view both during the day and at nighttime. Aaron also brought binoculars so we were all able to have an even better view! The other activities were great too and we really got a comprehensive tour of the island, Aaron was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot from history and geology to astronomy and the traditional Hawaiian culture. One very minor thing, I was expecting to see more of Kealakekua bay but we were quite far away actually. We did get to see sea turtles at Punalu’u though! The food provided was very good too (bento box and restaurant)! I think we all had an amazing experience overall!

An absolute MUST DO

This excursion truly made my entire trip on the big island. Todd was my tour guide and I don’t think I would have had the same experience had I’d been in another group. He was so polite, patient and attentive to the entire group, and probably one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. I mainly joined this tour for the stargazing, which is now hands down one of the most memorable experiences of my life, but everything else we did was so much fun and was one of the best ways to see these main hotspots on the island. I’d say the amount of time we had at each spot was more than enough, however I could have stayed out the entire night looking at the sky, it was just unreal. The food provided was really good - lunch at the coffee farm was nice to have at the beginning of the day and dinner at the restaurant after the volcano park was a great pitstop before going out and stargazing. I especially appreciated having Todd as our tour guide because it got pretty cloudy after about 15 minutes of stargazing, so we unfortunately had to leave early. However on the drive home, Todd pulled over to check the conditions outside and it was crystal clear where we were. So he allowed us all to get out right there and take another look at the sky for a while. It was insane. Whether you do this solo or with other people, you will thoroughly enjoy the entire day.

The Lava Tube and Star Gazing were the most enjoyable part of our trip. Aaron was a pleasure and shared his knowledge of the Island. He has a great sense of humor I have a new appreciation of the geology, geography and history of the Island. He helped with our special accommodations. Had such a great time on our tour…Dreu had a lot of knowledge and brought fun to the tour. One of my concerns about a 12 hour tour was whether I would have enough bathroom and food opportunities, but our stops were perfectly timed to accommodate for both. And you can’t beat the breathtaking views and nature. Would definitely recommend.
