      Alice our fabulous guide was very knowledgeable about the foods of Bologna. We sampled sweets, cured meats, cheeses, tortellini and tagliatelli with different sauces, a white and a red wine PLUS Gelato afterward. The experience was fantastic! We're still full. LOL. Also a big THANK YOU to Alice for being so pleasant while answering our many questions!!!

      Alice was a fantastic hostess!! She was very informative about the foods and shops around the city. She took us to some really neat off the beaten path places. The small group was very nice and personal. Highly recommend this tour with Alice

      We had a fantastic time with Roberta! She took us where the locals go. We started with a lovely pastry and coffee, then headed to a famous balsamic vinegar store for a tour and some tasting. We then headed to the market to learn about local cuisine, grab some bread, cold cuts and cheese and went to an Osteria and had some wine with our sandwiches. What an experience! After that, Roberta took us to a restaurant where we tasted tortellini and tagliatelle. Finally, we went to a Gelato Cafe where the variety of flavors were endless. We had the best food and the best time in Bologna. We can't wait to come back!

      Delicious and delightful Bologna tour!

      What a wonderful experience of delicious Bolognese food! Our tour guide, Alice, was so warm and friendly and informative, and we had a lovely small group of about 10 people. We started with a delicious breakfast in a pasticceria, visit to a balsamic vinegar shop, and snacks of parmigiano Reggiano, prosciutto di Parma and much other goodness along with local Prosecco at the historic Osteria del Sole, where you bring your food with you because you can only buy wine, beer or spritz. That was followed by tagliatelle bolognese and incredible tortellini for lunch and then gelato at Gianni’s. We met some lovely folks and got some interesting insights into Bolognese food. We are fiftyish adults traveling with our two teen kids, and both adults and teens agreed that this was a highlight of our trip!

      Our guides were so knowledgeable about the history of food and places in Bologna. Their anecdotes and humor brought the Bologna food scene to life in a way that never would have happened for us if we didn't have this tour. The food and fellow travelers were great! Brava Federica and Roberta!

      We had a great time with Federica! I felt like we got the value from the tour. Federica was great about explaining what each thing was and where it came from. She also explained a bit of Bologna's history as we walked around. My favorite stop was a trattoria to try tortellini and tagliatelle with ragu. Come hungry because there is a lot of food! My only critique would be that the breakfast stop could be skipped (and then the tour could be cheaper). Our guide told us that there aren't really any breakfasts that are typical to only Bologna. While my croissant was very good, I could have gotten one like it anywhere. All of the other stops were more specific to Bologna and very good!

      Frederika was really delightful. Full of energy, knowledge and knows her city's food scene. Our first stop was a typical coffee shop with pastries from sweet to savory, all the food and wine are included!, then to a balsamic vinegar tasting with a short briefing of how the vinegar is made and stored. The bar where you can bring your own food as long as you drink is a hoot! Frederika laid out a spread of breads, meats and cheeses and described each one as we dug in, the Lambrusco was a perfect pairing! Then for lunch at a trattoria with a tasting of two pastas, more wine and gelato at the next stop. Go hungry, there is ample food!!
