Wine and Snacks with a Great Host

Luca was a great host, and led us through (large) tastings - really glasses! - of 5 wines. Starting with Pignoletto from the region and exploring south for other varietals, my wife and I had a great time listening, learning, and drinking. We had a plate of cheese and meat to eat along with the wines, but it wasn’t paired so much as it was just a plate of snacks. When our tasting was done, we stuck around for a cocktail. It was a nice experience and is recommended!

I loved it, the bar is located close to the city centre, it is easy to find. The interior is beautiful. The wines are excellent. The staff explains where the grape comes from, which winery and how is it related to the region. I missed an explanation about what notes to expect but despite that, it was absolutely fantastic. The aperitivo that comes with the tasting was also delicious. You have plenty of time to stay and enjoy yourself. Highly recommend, it is worth it.

Nice wine but descriptions lacked any detail and not a lot of chat from the hostess (she was busy at the bar). We booked based on reviews about Luca but he was absent. Food was ok, some mortadella and Parmesan served on individual plates (a bit strange)

NIce way to become familiar with wines from Emilia Romagna. We especially liked the Albana. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find in the United States. Owner does a good job of discussing the wines and offering insights into why same grapes produce unique wines depending upon the region. Very pleasant evening.

Lovely experience with friendly staff. We had 5 glasses of wine and loads of accompaniments--tomato bruschetti, mixed vegetables with pistachio and miso, parmigiano reggiano and chickpea and aubergine with nuts. It was a lot more 'snacks' than I expected and we cancelled our dinner plans! We booked in at 5.30 and stayed for an hour and a half and it was just the two of us.

I love Italian wine but was unfamiliar with wines from Emilia Romagna. Luca was a great host, very knowledgeable and we tasted 6 different wines from the region. It was our first time drinking Pignoletto and the Lambrusco is so much better than what we have tasted in the US. The reds were interesting too.
