I only had one full day in Bordeaux and my 3-hour tour was a great way to learn about the city and things I wouldn’t have learned just walking about on my own. Sophia’s a great storyteller and lovely interesting person! We talked about architecture, history, food, the life of a local. A perfect city tour

The tour with Sophia was simply superb. In advance, the two of us had given her a long list of sites of interest to us that were scattered around the historic city of Bordeaux. Without rushing us, she managed to get us to every one of them -- plus make a stop for fresh oysters & white wine in a busy food market. Her native-speaker, American-accented English was especially effective in explaining the city’s history, Bordeaux wines and local architecture. Sophia not only knows the city well, but the area’s residents knew her. Literally, 5 or 6 times, local residents and store owners came out to greet and chat with her. And along the way, we received some very useful tips on wine bars as well as how to get around on public transportation (e.g. the city’s modern tram system and its river taxis). In short, this tour on our first day in town was perfect preparation for the next two days on our own, continuing to explore Bordeaux. In short: two thumbs up for Sophia !
