Bordeaux Magic
Ceri_B, Sep 2023
What a fantastic day on this tour. We were treated to a wonderful presentation where we learnt about the different wines whilst sampling and being tested on different tastes and smells. We then had a lovely picnic before heading to St Emillion to visit a couple of vineyards and taste more fantastic wine. The weather was incredible and made our World Cup weekend even more special doing this trip. Isabelle our guide was very informative and answered so many questions. We would do this tour again next time we are in Bordeaux, such a treat!
Do This Tour!

We did the full day tour and we are so glad we did. Tasted some amazing wine in the morning and learned all about French wine. It was really interactive! Then went out to the winery’s in the afternoon. So beautiful. Isabell was a AMAZING guide. She was informative, personable, and really went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. She even taught us about Denver the Dinosaur as we are from Colorado, USA. Do the tour and ask for Isabell

FULL day. Started with wine tasting class with wine blending class. Great food pairings provided as well. After a couple hours of this a break then mini van drive to 2 chateaus for a couple tastings and tour of an old church. Very busy and fun day!

Pass on this one.
Wade_R, Jun 2022
The wine tasting started good, tried a bunch of varieties and had a knowledgeable guide on wines and tastings. They provided prepared sandwiches and brownies for 12 people, but individual water bottles for only 10. the response when asked was, that was all they had. The afternoon was an hour drive, one way, to taste a combined total of 5 wines at three chateaux's.

Good overview of wines followed by visits to wineries
David_K, May 2022
Tour began in a private tasting room and our tour guide Remi was very knowledgeable about the different regions in France and the different varietals coming from each of the regions. We did tastings, a simple blending and even a blind taste test before enjoying a sandwich outside followed by visits to wineries. There was also a small walk through the town and a historical review of the town. Very full day with just the right amount of info and time for each activity, highly recommend this tour.

Highly Recommend, Great Guide
Katherine_M, Apr 2022
Loved starting at the wine room and learning about Bordeaux/French wines before going to the wineries. Theo was knowledgeable and forthcoming, which I really appreciated! Lunch was sandwiches from a nearby cafe but yummy.
Lovely day out
David_R, Apr 2022
Great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Spent the morning tasting wine at an apartment, followed by lunch at Jardin Public and then met up with the half day group for a trip to St Emillion and a couple of chateaux. Lovely day and would recommend.
Our tour guide was great...

Wine Class ,History, Vineyard, St-Emilion We had amazing time, the Wine class (tasting), was a real eye opener for the hole wine culture. Remi the guide has a broad view that include vast knowledge in history of the region and the wine culture. The vineyard tour was really interesting, and we were able to see the different between 2 chatos. We finish the tour in the village of St-Emilion, a must-see place.
Fun! Informative! and overall a great tour! Highly Recommend!!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Not only did we learn a ton about French wine, we enjoyed the overall experience as well. Quinton was our tour guide and he did an awesome job! We learned that our pallets probably prefer the wines made in the Rhone region as opposed to the Bordeaux region, but we still really enjoyed visiting the chateaus and tasting the wines. It just means we'll have to come back to tour some of the other regions! I highly recommend this tour. It's a great way to spend a day in Bordeaux.
Great combo of two excursions!
Johnathan_M, Jul 2019
We really enjoyed both the short class/lunch to start as well as the trip to two wineries in the afternoon/evening. I particularly liked our guide, Hugo, who integrated components of the morning's lesson into the winery visits (like the aroma kit he brought). We also got a short tour of St. Emilion the town, which was beautiful, but I would have liked even just 30 minutes of time to explore on our own (and buy souvenirs!). Still, the wineries we visited were marvelous and would recommend this tour experience for other travelers.
Educational, Fun, Fascinating, Worthwhile
Hilary F, May 2019
We fully enjoyed our day. We learned a lot about the history of wine making in France and Bordeaux's unique place in the pantheon of wine cultures. Our guide/teacher was charming, knowledgeable, easy going and fun. All around a totally worhwhile day. Great food. Great chateaux and Saint Emilion village tour. The day was a highlight of our wonderful trip.
An amazing experience

We had a lovely day with winetasting and visits to St.Emilion and two different winemakers. Our guide Quentin made our day!
You'll spend more time in the tour van...
Patrice C, Oct 2018
You'll spend more time in the tour van than actually wine tasting. Lunch was a slice of quiche with a small salad of greens and a glass of mediocre wine. The young woman who led our tasting was not a wine expert by any means, though she was personable. The tours at the chateaus were interesting but not very in-depth about the wines they produced. The wine tastings at the chateau were extremely limited to 2-3 tastes, and they were tiny. There was no chance to buy a glass of wine if you found one to your liking. My suggestion would be to book a car and driver and go to the chateaus you most want to visit on your own.
Both the tasting sessions and the tour...

Both the tasting sessions and the tour were fantastic!
Adult Fun
Gregory_E, Aug 2018
The Bordovino Group that operates this tour was outstanding. Our guide walked us through how to view, taste and smell wines as we tried pure Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and various blends. We had an excellent lunch prior to heading to two outstanding vineyards and a brief tour of St. Emilion. We were very comfortable with our vehicle on a very hot day.
Informative and fun (and delicious)!
Tess_K, Jul 2018
We had Tiph (Tiphaine) as our guide. She was FABulous! She’s very knowledgeable about Bordeaux wines and very down-to-earth. She taught us about both Bordeaux wine and French wines. She was born and raised in Bordeaux, so she knew the area and places to go (as well as the wine). She made the wine tasting “class” fun and enjoyable. The wines were delicious, and we learned a lot. We happened to be in an all USA group, so the class and tour were both in English. We went to two vineyards (one more fancy/commercial and one small/intimate) - great wine, informative/enjoyable tour guides and wine tastings by those vineyards. We walked around the village of Saint-Émilion, which has beautiful( old) architecture and history. Overall, a great addition to our European honeymoon experience!
An awesome introduction to French...
JoyD_W, Apr 2018
An awesome introduction to French wines, a must do. We spent the morning learning about wine, how to small, taste and enjoy. We had a wonderful home baked lunch and then went to two chateaus for more tasting with a trip to the medieval village of St Emilion. Pierre certainly knew his wine and made the morning very enjoyable indeed. Our guide for the afternoon was Adele and she was also very friendly and knowledgeable.
