Slightly disappointing.
John_R, Oct 2023
We booked for an English language tour, but in the event, it was in English and French. This meant that our guide had to do twice as much work, by explaining everything twice. The guide was excellent, but there was a lot of standing around during the explanations, which at our age (70+) is not easy. I was also disappointed that the tour did not provide the endless vistas of vineyards that I have seen elsewhere in France. We were taken to two small vineyards which were right on the edges of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. We did not get the sense of being in one of the world's major wine-growing regions.
Amazing flavour of Bordeaux
Lucy_B, Sep 2023
Very informative, great wine, stunning scenery. We had a great afternoon and learnt a lot about the making of wine
Helpful guide.
Mark_P, Sep 2023
Learning about the wine making process. Our guide Bridget was very informative and helpful. Good insights into the history of the region.
Not recommended. Disorganized and not enough seats.
Lillian_S, Jul 2023
Viator booked too many people for this wine tasting tour. They did not have enough seats at the table for wine tasting and not enough glasses. There were 6-8 people that could not sit around the table at the winery. They are double booking with another tour group and there is no place to sit for the wine tasting. They did not care and made a shallow effort to get chairs and wine glasses.
Wine trip

Two very different visits, one to a family owned chateau the other very plush and expensive chateau. Both excellent and enjoyed it lots
St Emilion and winery are beautiful. Tour is overpriced.. rushed and guide talks too much!
Milly_N, Jun 2023
To be honest I felt like this tour was kind of disappointing for the price. St Emilion is a beautiful place but the tour was rushed. Your guide literally spent the whole time talking and left 30 mins of free time only to explore the town. The winery tour was mostly rushed also but very interesting. I wouldn't suggest this tour to friends. :(
OK half day tour.
Alan_M, Jun 2023
Half day tour to two wineries in Medoc from Bordeaux. Price was OK, probably because it was a big group (roughly 40 people). The second winery tour was much better than the first: we actually got told something. I have been on vineyard tours in Provence that were much better (far more informative and interesting). But I think the size of the tour meant less questions and less information.
Not as Advertised
GeorgeP_H, Jun 2023
Not as advertised. This is more about the Bordeaux wine country history than wine tasting. Also, very strenuous tour,a lot steep streets and cobblestones
Nice
Hvard_d, Jun 2023
Learned a lot from the guide and the second wine in Margaux was great. Nice Chateau in haut-medoc but the wine tasting experience could have been managed better, even though a few participants may have had a different experience due to their greediness
Amazing wine trip

St Emillion and Chateau Champion tour
Nancy_M, May 2023
Enjoyed our tour to St Emillion and Chateau Champion; wine was so delicious that we bought a magnum.
An informative and engaging vineyard tour
Larry_P, Apr 2023
We learned so much about vineyards, the science and the art of winemaking. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of winemaking in the Médoc region. At each vineyard we visited, the winemakers proudly presented their own history and the beautiful wines they produce. We were lucky on the day that the tour was not fully booked as this may have diminished our experience. As it was the number of people on the tour were able to fully enjoy their Bordeaux experience.
Great value trip
Melanie_G, Mar 2023
Great trip , good opportunity to see some of the countryside . The guide on the coach was very informative. St Emilion was a a lovely place to visit. The chateau was interesting although the guide there was hard to hear .

The 2nd winery visited...
Carolyn_C, Oct 2022
The 2nd winery visited was beautiful and perfect for photos. The grounds were well kept and inviting. The first winery of the trip was nowhere as appealing.
Fun intro to the Bordeaux region.
Abumere_I, Oct 2022
It was a good trip. I enjoyed the vineyards and the host was good. After reading the reviews I was skeptical but it was worth it. Be sure to look at the schedule because it’s different vineyards for different days of the week. Downside was we didn’t leave early.
Not the wine tour we hoped for
Vanessa_H, Aug 2022
My friend and I were quite disappointed with this tour. The bulk of the time was spent getting to the wine region, then a lot of time touring the grounds and waiting for all questions to be answered, and then minimal time spent actually drinking the wine. The samples themselves were quite tiny - we probably had a glass of wine total between all 4 of the wines we tasted all day. Not what we were expecting at all.
