What To Expect

With this skip-the-line ticket to La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, the way you spend your time is up to you. Because you get to bypass waiting in huge lines packed with people, there’s more time to enjoy the site and all it has to offer.

Admire the museum’s modern outdoor architecture before heading inside to take advantage of the exhibits. Learn all about wine culture and dive deep into certain interests as you stroll along through more than 20 different wine-themed areas. You can follow an interactive guide on a hand-held travel device, or just travel through reading information at your own pace.

After you’re done, go up to the eighth floor to the Belvedere. Get a tasting with your admission ticket of a world wine, and then decide if you’d like to purchase a glass or two of wine (own expense) while you relax. See 360-degree views of the city on this floor — the room has floor-to-ceiling glass windows all the way around.

It’s ok. The building is beautiful and learned a lot about wines. The only downside was the tasting, we were allowed to just try one specific wine, we wanted to try one more to decide which one to buy but we were told that the place was not a bar. I think that was a little rude. But I still recommend going; it is a nice place to visit

Beautiful presentation and loads of exhibits. A bit confusing at first so be sure to speak to someone about procedures. Surprised their cafe or restaurant choices weren’t a bit better. Mediocre at best. Overall definitely enjoyable for all ages.

This is a very well organized museum with wonderful interactive areas. Very educational in many areas and really a first class museum. And a free glass of wine at the top when you finish to look over Bordeaux!

My husband and I enjoyed the many interactive activities. It was interesting and entertaining. We purchased wine in the store downstairs afterward and ate lunch in their restaurant. We spent an entire day there! We would most definitely recommend!

Amazing experience! What a spectacular museum! So rich! However you should explain better how to use the audio guide and I think that it would be better to finish by the thematic part. We lost 30-45 mn at the beginning. Too bad.

A must do in Bordeaux! This is a fabulous experience in learning more about wines around the world, the vineyards, the senses, plus wine tasting too. They have a beautiful panoramic restaurant and a gift shop. Highly recommended!!!!
