The History Museum Piata Staului. We pick up all travellers from all locations (Brasov city) from outside of old city centre of Brasov.

What To Expect

Your tour begins at your Brasov hotel, where you’ll board a vehicle destined for the dramatic beauty of Canionul Sapte Scari (Seven Ladders Canyon).

Following a 30-minute drive, you’ll set off on a short hike through meadows and forest-shrouded routes. At the gorge, you can opt to rest and enjoy the surrounding scenery, or delve into the belly of the canyon to explore further.

Under the guidance of your instructor, conquer near-vertical ladders and suspended bridges to gain incredible views of waterfalls and ancient rock formations. Then, return to the top and choose between a 1.5-hour or 3-hour hike back to your vehicle.

Your tour ends with drop-off back at your Brasov hotel.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Charlie was an excellent tour guide. He was very informative and accommodating. We started at 9 am to beat the heat instead of 10am per Charlie’s request. We expected a small group but got an individualized tour because no one else signed up for the tour so it was myself and my 2 children. My teen age son thanked me for signing us up for the tour- that should speak volumes to anyone with a teenager. Very much enjoyed the scenery, the ladders and the hike. Thanks!!

We so very much enjoyed our tour/ hike at 7 Ladders Canyon with Charlie! We would absolutely do it again and are planning to book another tour directly through this agency the next time we're in Brașov (rather than through Vlator or TrlpAdvlser) because their company, ActiveTravel, have good prices and are an excellent, trusted tour operator here in the region (we just don't feel the need to use a 3rdparty for booking these tours in the future). Charlie made the experience special. It was a great time. We look forward to trying their other tours!

Fun to climb the ladders and beautiful walk

We really enjoyed the 7 ladder canyon tour with Bogdan. Its only a short drive from Brasov to Piatra Mare, which was beautiful. You walk through pretty woods by a stream for about 45 mins before reaching the 7 ladders canyon. We thought we might get wet climbing the ladders but didnt. It was fun and an impressive canyon. After the canyon Bogdan gave us the option of 3 walks back, we choose the longest one. It was a beautiful walk, and Bogden let us use his walking poles which were great. Bogdan also pointed out a bear print in the mud which was cool. Bogdan was really interesting to chat to and communication from active travel was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The description does not do this tour justice. It is way above what I expected in both beauty and fun. Bogdan, the tour guide is amazing- he went way above and beyond. He is one of the best guides I've ever had. My trip also included zip-lining and tandem paragliding - all set up by Bogdan at the last minute. I would do this one again!

Great attraction but you don’t need a guide

Our guide was nice enough but clearly wanted to be somewhere else. He hurried us through the hike and provided very little added value. We had some friends who just Uber’d to the trailhead. Save a few bucks and just do that. Sorry Viator but you have to up your game on this one.

Brilliant trip - Go during the week

I really enjoyed this trip; you walk for about 45 minutes to get to the canyon. It's not a particularly challenging walk, it's a steady uphill and is uneven in places. The canyon itself doesn't take very long to get through, but it's fun going up the ladders alongside waterfalls (be prepared to get a little wet and the rungs on the ladders can also be a bit slippy, so wear proper walking shoes with decent grip!) You can then either walk back down, or zipline you way back to the bottom for I think about another 100Lei. The scenery is really pretty and our guide was excellent.

We took this tour in September 2017,Rasnav our guide was exceptionally helpful and attentive. After two days of cultural tours being in the countryside was a welcome break. The climb up the ladders is exhilarating you do need good walking shoes, I would thoroughly recommend the Zip line back down, not for the faint hearted but great fun! We heard so much about Romanian life from our guide and he very kindly took us to a local market on our way home to buy some fresh produce which was amazingly cheap, fresh and delicious. I would recommend while in Brasov to take this lovely outdoor experience.

We took this tour thinking of discovering the beautiful nature in Brasov area in a short time. Our expectations for the trip were definitely excedeed. After hiking through superb woods and climbing the 7 stairs, we had the chance to take the zip line on the way down. That was a very exciting adeventure for us and we wished it didn't end so soon, even if it took about 45 minutes getting down on the multiple zip line segments. Bogdan was always very careful and helped us with good tips how to coordinate our moves. I highly recommend this tour if you don't have a full day to spend and you are passionate about nature and a bit of sports combined with adrenaline. I would love to repeat this one day.
