Miss this Trip not a guided tour
marie_d, Oct 2022
This was not a tour -saw 1 x old windmill courier issued everyone with a map of the city and said she could not guide us through the city as it was illegal. Don’t waste your money get the train.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Dear customer, Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately due to regulations by the city authorities, we are not allowed to guide in the city of Amsterdam. We try to make this clear when our customers come to book at the office. We are sorry this tour did not meet your expectations. We will keep working to improve our guests satisfaction. Best regards, Brussels City Tours
Long day
Nancy_K, Oct 2022
The cheese factory was fun. The cheese maker had a great sense of humor. The windmill was beautiful. Amsterdam is just another busy crowded city. The 6 hr round trip was long. We had a great tour guide
Learning a country
Dianita_R, Sep 2022
We learned a lot about Holland, their culture and food. The tour guide was knowlegable and experienced.
Not a Guided Tour
Rebekah_D, Sep 2022
I want to preface this by saying our “tour guide” was great. She was so kind and ensured our safety, and was very knowledgeable with what she shared. However, we booked this under the impression that it was a guided tour of the city of Amsterdam. On the way, we stopped at a cheese and clog farm, which was a cool experience. However, it took over an hour. By the time we made it to Amsterdam we only had about 3 hours. Since the guide isn’t allowed to show us around, we had to figure out where everything was on our own (why we took a guided tour). She did give us a map, however, after the optional canal tour we had just over an hour left. Keep in mind that you leave at 9 AM. So unless you want to skip lunch and eat a very late dinner upon return, you also had to carve out another 30 min to an hour for food. Overall I was not impressed and I wouldn’t recommend this to friends or family. The bus ride was comfy and had AC, and our guide was very kind. But beyond that, we could have booked a train ticket for much less and actually would have been able to see the city. If you are booking this for a guided tour, look elsewhere.
Mislead and very disappointed!
rejean_l, Sep 2022
I have always had good tours with Viator until this last one. Very disappointed as this is basically an overpriced bus ride. The guide spoke for about 30 minutes in 3 languages, so about 10 minutes in my language before arriving in Amsterdam from a 3 hour drive. There was a stop for a cheese factory which is ok. The most disappointing for me was in the title of « Amsterdam and windmills galore » and saw 4 windmills plus 2 from afar. This doesn’t qualify as « galore » in my country. Just a catchy title to get more tourists. Because of this , we did not opt to take the Luxembourg & Divent tour. I hope you improve or title correctly for other travellers.
Rude tour guide
Nahid_R, Sep 2022
We had bad experience with the tour guide Andrea. She was extremely rude to my 9 months old baby as she was laughing she came to us and told to sit at the back of the bus because of the baby's noise she cannot concentrate on her commentary. Also when we reached at Amsterdam Andrea just got down and start taking other tourists to the canal, our baby pushchair was inside bus baggage compartment, she neither helped us with it nor she did wait for us to get the pushchair. She just left us behind. I had to carry Also when we reached at Amsyerdam Andrea just got down and start taking other tourists to the canal, our baby pushchair was inside bus baggage compartment, she neither helped us with it nor she did wait for us to get the pushchair. She didn't even ask us or thought about us. She just left us behind. I had to carry my baby on my lap and literally run after her so that we don't miss her and get lost, my husband then set the pushchair and later found me by calling on my mobile. It's not that we were slow and slowing down the group, we are active and have travelled with kids many countries but never came across with such rude tour guide like her. She was behaving very nicely with the other tourists who speak the same language as hers though. I hope the company would give her proper training.
Too many people and too...
MarilynO, Aug 2022
Too many people and too crowded and hot. Didn't like the boat ride as the weather is too hot. I only like the cheese factory as it is something I ghave not seen before.
An unusually bad experience
Joelle_B, Aug 2022
I really wish I could’ve given this experience a better rating. There was a major conflict between the bus driver and the tour guide. This resulted in some unsafe driving on the part of the driver, a very awkward and inconvenient drop off, and genuine concerns of whether we would be able to get back home. The tour guide was wonderful though, and I’m sure this experience is much better under different circumstances. But for us, it was really unfortunate and disappointing.
Great day @Amsterdam
Pamela_R, Jul 2022
The Windmills and in Amsterdam it was the Heineken experience :). The history told by our tour guide was impressive, he was serious but to the point and even took the time to explain to us the directions on how to get to the Heineken experience.
A nice fun day trip
Jeffrey_C, Jun 2022
Very informative trip with such a nice and knowledgeable guide. The difficulty of translating into several languages was a feat in itself. I wish the trip was longer but due to travel time and it only being a day trip is the reason why time was limited.
Standard tour
Melissa_S, Nov 2019
We enjoyed the tour but we wished to have more time to explore. The guide was knowledgeable and professional. However, at the end of the tour they dropped us off at a different place and we had to walk more to the hotel and we had to ask for directions. I suggest that next time they drop people off at the same place where they are picked up.

Amsterdam
nandgeagles, Nov 2019
Visit to cheese factory worst of tour. A run down business that added nothing to tour except as a toilet stop. Such a business would be closed down in NZ as not acceptable. Tour guide was excellent and worth trip overall.

another great trip. I wish we went to another cheese making factory with one that actually is making it along with the shoe making. the guide was really awesome and knows his information well. cheese making should have been much better
Great way to get a taste of Amsterdam
Diane_E, Oct 2019
This day trip is a great way to get a taste of Amsterdam. There's short walking tour, which you're free to opt out of. You'll get the most out of this day trip if you do some prep ahead of time. In order to optimize your free time - we had about 4 hours - come with a map, read up on some good restaurants and ideas of things to see, and walk along the canals.
GREAT TRIP
Camille_A, Sep 2019
Have your camera ready for this wonderful full day trip. Lots to see at an easy pace. Make sure you try the canal tour during your free time in Amsterdam.
