Getting rained on sucks
Kathryn_K, Aug 2023
Getting hailed and rained on. The gorge bridge was also really cool. But didn’t get to go to third park because of rain.
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Kathryn, We take all reviews seriously whether it is a 1 star or a 5 star. Fortunately, it is very rare for us to receive less than a 5 star. We believe the reason we receive primarily 5 star reviews is due to our great product, our top notch customer service, our incredible guides and office staff, and our unsurpassed safety record. On your particular tour, your guide chose to not ascend Fremont peak due to lighting. Again, safety is a priority here at Colorado Jeep Tours. He also brought complementary rain jackets for the crew to wear. Here in Colorado the weather is ever changing which is one of the reasons it is so beautiful here. Without rain the landscape would look nothing like it does. When you made your reservation, rain was in the forecast for that day. You also checked a box on your reservation reminding you that we go rain or shine just in case you had not thought to look at the forecast. You check another box stating that you understood that we reserve the right to alter tours based on weather, road conditions, time restrictions, and the SAFETY of our clients and staff. I am truly sorry that Mother Nature didn't get the memo that you wanted a sunny day that day and then to make things worse she tossed out a little hail to add a little more adventure to your adventure. Keep in mind that this is a high altitude desert and we only get 12.5 inches of moisture a year. So your odds of getting a sunny day are usually pretty good. I hope you will try us again. Sorry we can't control the weather but not sorry about playing it safe.

Too much back road, arid scenery. Better if more time at Royal Gorge, with time to walk across bridge, not just ride.
Fantastic trip to Royal Gorge
Ashley_F, Jul 2023
This was a great experience and I am so glad that I booked it! This is the way to see the Royal Gorge, especially on a super busy day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I loved that we got to see stuff that I never would have known about on my own.
Beautiful views and so educational.
Treasa_P, Jun 2022
We learned so much about the geology and history of the area-things we never would have learned had we just walked through the area alone.
A must for any Royal Gorge visit

Mike was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He took us to great locations with outstanding scenery and provided details about each one. We’d definitely recommend this tour.
Excellent

Wyatt was outstanding tour guide/driver/know it all (in a great way)! Tour was outstanding and then recommendations for food was another bonus. Thanks for a great day.
Great Tour BUT…..
Floyd_K, Sep 2021
Informative and worthwhile but when getting to royal gorge allow at least 30 minutes to visit NOT 10 to 15 minutes
Response from Host, Sep 2021
Floyd, thank you for your review. You are absolutely right, having more time at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is nice and that is why Colorado Jeep Tours give is clients that purchase this tour directly from Colorado Jeep Tours free passes back into the Park. So clients can go back up to the park after their tour.

Great fun, our tour guide was full of local knowledge. We had a great time. We would definitely take this tour again.
Great guide - horrible vehicle
JoAnne_S, Jul 2021
The three stars are all for the fantastic guide (J- her first initial)and the wealth of information she had to share - she was fantastic , absolutely wonderful- 2 stars are taken away for one reason- the jeep was unbelievably uncomfortable, outdated, low-end. First of all my seat belt was completely broken off before we even left which indicates to me that a pre-inspection had not occurred- and by the end of the 4 hour journey the other one was almost there. The seats were 2 facing benches- that were so hard to see from - you had to twist your neck to see and bump legs and knees with the other people on the facing bench- really bad. The condition of the jeep was such a terrible disappointment-
good deal

Royal Gorge Loop 1/2 day tour -awesome!!
MaryA_S, May 2021
This was the 2nd time I’ve done this tour- this time with my 83 year old mom, 2 young adult children and my sons girlfriend. (Group of 5) Wyatt was our tour guide and being a local Canon City resident- he knows everything about the area! He was funny and so knowledgeable! The tour is a wonderful way to see the the mountains- great views- awesome pictures and even some wildlife along the way! It really makes you feel like you’re on an adventure as you’re climbing up the mountain side! The Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge area is always breathtaking and a must see in the Canon City area! It might seem a little speedy, but- spend the money- you won’t regret it! This tour is worth EVERY penny!
Fabulous tour of the Royal Gorge!
KIM8758, May 2021
Mike was a great guide! Jennifer very personable and helpful! The tour itself was very scenic, albeit dusty and bumpy in some spots , but you know that going in! We had a jeep issue (mechanical) on the way back, but thankfully just a few miles from our drop off. Mike really wanted to attempt to take us to 2 more areas close by, but we as a group knew it was probably best for him and the Jeep just to go back. I would recommend this tour!
Our jeep tour experience

My friend and I had such a fun time on our jeep tour with Richard. It's a good place to learn about our states history and enjoy some really amazing sights. Our tour guide was very friendly and he seemed to truly love his job. We also appreciated that there was blankets and heating due to the weather being a little chilly. And that the jeep was covered. We highly recommend this tour!
Amazing Tour!

This was by far one of my favorite things we did on our latest vacation to colorado. Rick our driver was awesome and the views we saw were like we were stuck in a movie. Absolutely incredible scenery that at times made you feel like you were the only ones on the earth. So desolate! This is hands down a must do and you cannot beat the price! Worth every penny and then some.
