WE WILL PICK YOU UP FROM ANY PLACE! Please enter the name of the property you are staying at and its address in the booking details. Note: the price refers to the departure with pick up from the Catania area. For pick-ups in the Taormina area an extra charge will be applied as follows: from 1 to 3 people € 30.00 in total; from 4 to 8 people € 10.00 per person. For pick-ups in the Messina and Siracusa area an extra charge will be applied as follows: from 1 to 3 people € 50.00 in total; from 4 to 8 people € 15.00 per person. This amount must be paid in cash directly to the driver before starting the trip.

It was ok on the whole but we felt that the guide didn’t share that much history or facts if the volcano or winery. We didn’t get to go to the honey farm cos he said it was crowded. When we went to teh fester, he just waited for us at the shop. At the winery he did the same. Wine was awesome but food was really quite pathetic. Few pieces of cheese, ham, Cous Cous and 1 sausage. I paid almost SG600 for 2 person for this tour.

This was a private tour and Our guide Was very knowledgeable and a great driver. The Gambino winery and Etna was amazing! Definitely recommend this tour.

We have used Viator for all of our tours this trip and most have been excellent thus far. This was not one of them. We didn’t experience Mount Etna or the winery. The very first thing Joseph said to us was that it is impossible to do this tour (6 hours). The tour operator never communicated to us that we could not do the tour in 6 hours. We did communicate to the operator we had 6 hours for the tour and would shorten stops, if needed. We then suggested doing only the winery and again was told it was impossible, the lunch wasn’t worth it and we should go to Taormina and drive by the winery on the return. We had no interest walking through the streets of a beautiful small town with 1,000 other people. It wasn’t part of our tour unless time permitted and it wasn’t what we paid to see. Additionally, in comparison to our other tour guides, Joseph was basically a taxi driver from Siracusa to Taormina and back and for which we overpaid by a few hundred dollars. Extremely disappointing!

Hello! Honestly, I sent ti you a message in Viator telling that, due the limited time available, the stop in Taormina would almost certainly have been skipped. But it is clear you did not get my message. I understand your disappointment very well! Since I started this job my first goal is customer satisfaction! A client happy of our work means good review, better image, more business in the future ... but above all it is our gratification on a personal and work level! I talked to Giuseppe, your driver, and he claims he didn't tell you that doing Etna and the cellar or even just the cellar was impossible ... but only that doing all three destinations was impossible, due to the limited time and long travel times since you started from Syracuse and not from Catania. As you will have read on the site, the Etna and winery excursion takes about 7 hours starting from Catania, in fact the price you pay in Viator refers to the tour departing from Catania where our company is based. As you can see in the pick up information section of the product sheet, there is an additional cost for the pick up in Syracuse. Moreover, starting from Syracuse the time needed for the tour increases by about 1 hour and a half. If we then add the optional destination of Taormina, not included in the normal tour, we must add another 2 and a half hours, thus reaching a total of 11 hours. Now you understands that doing the tour with all 3 stages was impossible as you only had 7 hours available (9-16). In fact, if I had been the driver I would have told you: let's go to Etna, tightening the times a little, then to the winery, skipping the stop at the honey farm, and if there is time we will go to Taormina, otherwise we will return to Syracuse. . In this way, in seven hours, you would have done Etna and Winery, albeit a bit in a hurry, but you would have completed the main stages of the tour. Now, I was not there and I don't know what you said to each other ... but these were the dispositions I had given to Joseph, and I sincerely doubt he could have said anything different. If he did, I apologize! But, honestly, I have doubts about it! He told me that he recommended Etna and winery, but you wanted to eat pasta and you preferred to go first to Taormina (where you would have had to stay about half an hour) to eat some pasta since the latter was not included in the lunch in the winery. But instead of half an hour (as you told Giuseppe) you spent 3 and a half hours in Taormina. In this way there was no more time to do anything else. I repeat, I was not present and I remain in doubt as to what was the communication between you and the driver, but I think there were some misunderstandings ... We have done this tour many times from the port of Syracuse, and something like this has never happened before! However, I apologize for what happened and I understand your disappointment! Giuseppe, our driver and your guide, was AWESOME!! He was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He was patient and answered all our questions. The tour was a nice combination of all the various stops. We would highly recommend it!
Great tour, no refund for illness

Our guide, Joseph, was wonderful! On our way up Mt. Etna he told us a lot of the history. We made several stops informing us what year that eruption occurred and showed us how it was different. Gambino winery was fantastic! We tried 7 different wines along with a wide variety of delicious food. Our guide gave us a 5 star tour! My only issue was how strict their refund policy was. My grandson woke up sick that morning so instead of exposing him to the driver and having the driver listen to him cry a lot, my daughter stayed home with him. I let them know before 8 am, we were getting picked up at 8:30. I received a response later that day saying they would not refund the money because they did not have the time to switch to a smaller vehicle. I know that their policy is 24 hours but I feel they should make exceptions for illness. It is a wonderful tour but if you feel sick that morning, go anyway since you won't get a refund.

This was the highlight of our trip to Sicily- we had an amazing time! Giuseppe was our tour guide and he was helpful when needed to be but gave us our own space and flexibility which worked well for us. We enjoyed the craters and the Etna tour but our absolute favourite was our stop at Gambino Winery. The wine was spectacular, the views were stunning and the service impeccable. We did do a stop in Taormina but we wished we did that a different day to make the most of the beautiful town. All in all, please book this trip- you won't regret it!

As part of our honeymoon, this was an experience we were very much looking forward to and it went beyond our expectations. Worth it for the visit to the Gambino vineyard alone, the whole day was incredible. Giuseppe, our driver, was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly and clearly very proud of this beautiful island and what it has to offer. That pride shone through and added to the enjoyment of this magical place. Thank you for making our honeymoon even more special than it already was.

We had a wonderful day yesterday on our tour, guisseppe was an absolute gentleman throughout the day. There was no pressure on how much time we spent in any of the 3 destinations. The honey/oil tasting was an amazing experience we didnt expect, and the wine tasting afterwards was absolutey wonderful. Plenty of souveneirs to take back with us to England. Tours like this get you out of the isolation of just the hotel/beach and Taormina and for 8+ hours is well worth the price.

A day that will be remembered. Giuseppe is a pro for sure - punctual, informative and friendly. Very convenient to be riding around in a modern comfortable car. Etna was beautiful and the wine tasting and lunch at gambini was superb!
