We enjoyed the process of...

We enjoyed the process of how chocolate beans becomes the chocolate we consume. It was great to see an actual processing line.
Chocolate lovers tour
William_M, Sep 2023
Being a chocolate lover this was a must see for me. The museum was amazing. It followed the cocoa bean from the tree to your mouth. There is a mini manufacturing plant and different areas where workers make specialty pieces. They also give you a lot of samples which I immediately ate
It was ok, a little expensive for what it is.

They start closing things inside 60 minutes before closing time. Like the machine wrapped Nap samples.
Not to be missed

Really interesting to walk through the whole process of making chocolate and best of all you get a taste of the product along the way. Lovely shop where you can buy all the different chocolates, big temptation not to fill your basket to the top 😀
Overpriced by viator
Karen_L, Jul 2023
Tour was well done very interesting interactive displays well done. Annoyed w viator because your fee was 5 dollars more than at site.
All you ever wanted to know about chocolate.
Debbie_S, Jun 2023
Right along the river. Had several samples! Know that it’s Lindt so you aren’t having something you can’t get in US. Very educational though. Enjoyed it.
We’ll never forget that smell of chocolate 😊

Seeing how the chocolate is produced was amazing. We enjoyed getting to know more about its history, and tasting and shopping at the end was delicious and fun ☺️🍫
Unique and interesting museum !!!

Very unique and interesting museum. But be ready to eat lots of chocolate after your visit as the shop has a wide assortment !!!!
Chocolate Museum is tasty and educational.
Kylene_P, Jun 2023
I enjoyed learning about the history of Chocolate. It was also good to learn about the environmental and economic issues involved. The best part was of course tasting and eating the chocolate.
Fun afternoon

Learned a lot about the process of making chocolate which is more extensive that I thought and the need for sustainability. Samples were good.
Hot chocolate!
Stacy_K, Apr 2023
Nice way to get out of the rain for a bit. Cute museum and had some nice samples. I think there were a couple school trips there while we were so it was a bit crowded and loud. Try the hot chocolate in the cafe after, it was delightful.
Very enjoyable

A calm and enjoyable riverboat down the Rhine. The speed was just right and was able to see a lot of sights. I would recommend to others.
Nice experience

The most memorable points were watching the mechanization of the process of molding chocolate and visiting the rainforest room.
When we arrived there was...
Miluzka_M, Jan 2023
When we arrived there was no line to skip. I thought the tour was with a guide. I wish it was more interactive.
Time Better Spent Exploring City
Susan_G, Jan 2023
Went during Christmas week with young adult children. The “factory” reproduced an actual production line, but the experience was underwhelming. Would recommend choosing activities unique to Cologne as this was basically marketing for a Swiss chocolate company. Younger children would enjoy much more.
A must for chocolate lovers

Really interesting story of chocolate; easy to follow route. Very good access for mobility restricted visitors.
A museum dedicated to chocolate.
G_J, Aug 2022
This museum has far more to see and was much more interesting then I had expected. I should have dedicated more time to enjoy this attraction.
Interesting, but definitely made for tourists!
Philip_V, Jun 2022
This was an interesting "museum" that presents the making of chocolate interactive and interesting. Quite a bit of information and can take some time to get through. You get the opportunity to taste some freshly made chocolate and - be prepared to wait, but worth it, especially if you have small children. It can be less expensive if you purchase the tickets directly from the museum on-line, especially with small children and students with IDs.
Great Experience
Kayla_J, Jun 2022
We arrived at about 1015 right after opening and while their was not much of a line it was nice being able to walk straight through to the museum. The line was well outside the door when we finished at the museum a few hours later.
Informative and delicious!
