What a beautiful day at the beach! The crew was great & the food was good but one group on the tour were not very considerate and made getting your lunch very challenging for everyone else! That issue aside we had a great time and would totally recommend the trip to anyone that loves a full day at a beautiful beach! Dont forget your sunscreen!!!!

The catamaran ride was super smooth both ways! The food was delicious, the drinks were phenomenal, the team was great, and Klein itself was incredible! I loved that there was plenty to drink on the island as well as palapas for shade. The ride back was smooth; the crew spoiled us with fresh fruits and drinks. A shaded seating area would be great on board, though, especially during the ride back! Otherwise, perfect day well spent on this day trip!!

Regarding your comment about breakfast, we have chosen to offer a more modest breakfast due to the possibility of rough waters, as a more elaborate breakfast can increase the likelihood of seasickness. An amazing trip from amazing people.

Irie was incredibly helpful from before the trip started. In case this happens to anyone else: It took a while to get an initial response when I wrote to them to ask them to pick me up from my hotel (for an extra small fee). This concerned be as time was nearing the tour -- but not only did they write back to help and make sure I got there, they were incredibly helpful with some last-minute arrangements to my hotel information. By the way -- the small fee to be picked up and dropped back off is totally worth it, with the price of taxis and car rentals on Curacao though. Once we got on the tour, it was faster than the ship that left before us, so we still had plenty of time in the day. The lunch was fantastic -- amazing food. The "guides" were very good with providing drinks and even had a tropical fruit punch with orange juice, passionfruit, etc. It made for some interesting cocktails. The island itself is pretty cool. There's a lighthouse you can climb (as of writing this review -- can't guarantee for the future.) And a couple of shipwrecks to see. We didn't see the shipwrecks, but it's mostly the kind of place you go to hang out on the beach and go in the water. My only negative experience for you (the next tour-goer) to learn from, is: 1) If you have a mustache or a beard, get your own snorkel equipment that you know works, shave your face, or practice using (apparently) petroleum jelly. When I asked the guides about if there's actually a way to keep the water from getting in the mask with a mustache, they said that apparently people use petroleum jelly, but I never got to test that and get used to it. 2) Bring a LOT of sunscreen. The island sunscreen is super expensive and even with the amount we brought we got red as lobsters.

I highly recommend this tour. The company, Iries Tours was exceptional. We had a crew including Idris, Jonie, and a few others names I can’t remember, but they were so hospitable! The group we went with was relatively small maybe 15 people max? Which was great because other boats around seemed to have 40+ people. Lunch and drinks were exceptional. I really enjoyed my time swimming, snorkeling, exploring the island. Would highly recommend.

This excursion was PHENOMENAL! Klein Curacao is one of the most beautiful places we have ever experienced!! The intrigue, the beauty, the shore--so incredible. The whole boat crew was fantastic. The ocean however on the ride out was a force to be reckoned with, but not to worry, the crew was there to help, care for and get everyone through the "rough parts"---my daughter and I especially want to thank Danny from the bottom of our hearts for caring for us on the way out and on the way back. I will do this trip again when I hope to visit Curacao in the future.

The Review I Wish I Read

I read several different excursion reviews prior to booking, and wish some of this info was included. We loved our trip with Irie Tours!! We booked last minute on a whim and they were still able to pick us up at our hotel the next morning (booked the evening prior). The pick up time was earlier than our hotel breakfast, which I was a bit worried about being on a boat on an empty stomach, but they provided coffee and sandwiches on board right away. There’s also cappuccino for purchase when you check in at the pier. When they tell you you will get wet on your way to the island, you definitely get wet, especially on top so heads up! So make sure you wear your suit on the way there- the way back is much, much smoother! The beach and island are beautiful. Of all the tour companies going over there we had the longest amount of time there, which was awesome. The lunch is the best food we’ve had here and everyone said the same. The guides were amazing and constantly were offering food, drinks, etc. Very knowledgeable and accommodating tour guides- I’ve been on hundreds of excursions around the world and have never met a better crew honestly. You cannot go wrong with this excursion!
