It was a great trail with fun historical monuments and facts. Ty was an awesome guide. I will be requesting him the next time I book.

We had the pleasure to have Jerry S. as our guide. We ended up doing the full day (instead of the half day). Jerry was very knowledgeable of the history and the trials. Even when I was not feeling good due to my body still setting used to the height he was very patient and helpful. If you don't have a lot of experience hiking (or even if you do) Jerry S. will be and outstanding guide for you!! (IMO)

Thank you David for leaving your honest review! We're very happy to hear you were supported by your guide during the hike.
    Beautiful tour!
    Eric_S, Jul 2023
This far exceeded my expectations. Originally booked for this trip - due to lack of participants I was offered the Denver Foothills Explorer half day tour and loved it. Sean was the guide and he knew EVERYTHING about what we saw that day - from the history of the state, the city to in depth info on the nature we got to see and did it in a very fun, informative way. Coupled with the amazing sites - Rocky Peaks, Dinosaur hill, Lookout Mtn, etc. - it was a perfect way to get to see and explore the area in just four hours. If all the guides are like Sean, this is a highly recommended way to spend an afternoon!

We're so excited to hear that you enjoyed your Denver Foothills Explorer Tour - and thank you for your flexibility. All our guides are super like Sean, so we hope to see you again!
    Amazing!

Our guide, Nicole was very polite and knowledgeable. She made our trip wonderful. I rated 4 stars because the AC in the van was not working and it was rather hot and uncomfortable on the way- but that was out of our guide’s control. She did everything she could to make us comfortable, and for that we were grateful. We had an amazing experience!
    Great guide but disappointed
    Danny_T, Aug 2022
Our guide Jed was excellent. Very knowledgeable, very friendly, very experienced. Our issue was we expected more for the price. We were expecting to go to the national park and to have a more real Rocky Mountain experience, not just the foothills. We went to a free public park instead. I would recommend but not at this price point.

Hi Danny, thank you for your feedback on your guide- we're very glad to hear you enjoyed your time with Jed on the trail! If you'll notice from the TripAdvisor description of the Half Day Hike tour, it does mention that the tour goes to Evergreen, CO and not Estes Park (where the national park is located), and a map is provided. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your tour further, please give us a call at 720-583-0654.

elsa was fantastic! it was a great hike and she was super informative! I learned that the Aspen trees are so cool. There were great views and she pushed us on the hike but made sure to keep everyone together and take breaks when we needed.
    An Amazing Day
    Julie_C, Aug 2022
I was originally booked to go on a half day hike, but agreed to be switched to the whole day hike. I am so glad I made the change. Zach was an amazing guide!! He is extremely knowledgeable as well as very personable. He took great care of all of us and made sure we weren’t taking on more than we could handle. The scenery was breathtaking. I would happily book this adventure again. Thank you Zach!

Elsa at Alpine was amazing. She was very patient with all of the different skill levels in our Middle Aged group and was super knowledgeable on all things Colorado. She challenged us on a beautiful trail. Don’t forget to stop and look around. Highly recommend Elsa at Alpine if you can get her.
Nice Hike but preferred to go further north to the National Park
    Tameka_W, Aug 2022
We booked this trip because it had great reviews, views looked amazing and we only wanted to do a half day event. I wanted my husband to experience the Rocky Mountains as this was his first time in Denver. Our tour guide was Nick and he was very helpful and friendly. We took about a 4 mile hike up in Mount Falcon Park which is west of Denver near Morrison, CO. We got great views of Red Rock from up above, saw a mule training for a race, and witnessed a rattlesnake sighting. However, I was expecting a trip north closer to the Rocky Mountain National Park based on the map provided in the tour description itinerary. We even dressed as if we were heading to a cooler climate. Instead, we were only in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains @ ~8,000 ft elevation. My suggestion for future "hikers" is to ask where the tour will take place for the day in order to manage your expectations.
    Response from Host, Sep 2022
Hi Tameka, Thank you for joining our hiking tour. Our full day tours go to the National Park. For our half day hikes we stay closer to Denver but we do hike in the Rocky Mountains, just on lower elevation.
    Beautifully stunning views!
    Elaine_T, Jul 2022
My experience was incredibly remarkable. I have never seen a view like this before! Definitely worth going to and recommending.
    Fun Hike and Great Views
    Nancy_Y, Jul 2022
This was a great hike with Elsa! The hike itself took about 2 to 2.5 hours. There were great views for photos. Be prepared with comfortable sneakers, sunblock, and sunglasses or a hat. Some parts of the hike were a bit rocky so you must pay attention as you are hiking. Overall, i would recommend this hike! I had a fun time and a good workout with lots of scenic photos.
    Just what we wanted

We had a great experience on our hike. Mike H was a terrific guide. His knowledge of the terrain and all things Denver made this a great experience. Plus we got to see Bison on the trail. I would strongly recommend.
    Great hike, highly recommend!!
