The building is shared between my business and a physiotherapy practice (they are really good btw, in case you have back issues during your hollidays :) ) Enter the courtyard, you will see some stairs going down on the left, with a sign saying "The Wine Compass", you are there!

Wow - this tour was simply amazing! Matthieu was just so kind and engaging and clearly has a passion for wine - especially Burgundy wines. He answered all our questions and explained everything so well from the history of winemaking in the region to how to taste it. Matthieu is incredibly personable and engaging and this tour is a must-do when in Dijon!

Matthew gave us a Masterclass in Burgundy wine history and and excellent tasting session. He is very approachable, professional, and enthusiastic! He has years of experience in the industry internationally. He really loves the region and the local producers and it shows. I can strongly recommend a visit to his wonderful cave! He also is licensed to sell wines and has a great selection.

Learning to “chew” our wine!

Exploring the wines of Burgundy with Matthieu was both educational and fun. From learning how to read the labels, to testing our noses and palates we sipped, and yes “chewed” some beautiful wines. I highly recommend this experience.

Incredible Burgundy tasting

What an amazing walk through of the wines of Burgundy. Matthieu led us through an excellent tasting of 6 wines and provided us with incredible information on the region and classifications of wines grown in the region. The tasting was not at all intimidating and was a ton of fun.

This was a perfect event! My husband and I enjoy wine but have no real knowledge other than if we like it or not! Matt was a great teacher. He made sure to take his time with each wine for us to appreciate it. He explain each wine as well as Bourgogne area so we could really understand the art behind the wine. He also explained how he likes to pair wines with food. The snacks and location was wonderful!
