Truly spectacular, and great for solo travellers!
Megan_S, Sep 2023
I absolutely loved this tour! It was a great way to see the Highlands, meet new friends, and have a guided group experience. I really enjoyed every stop we made, the stories our guide told us, the music played on the bus, and meeting fellow travellers from around the world. I only wish I could've done a longer tour - it was truly spectacular! Thank you again to our wonderful guide and to Rabbies.
Hurtling through the Highlands
Kathy_S, Sep 2023
The Isle of Skye was absolutely stunning. The Highlands were beautiful. I would recommend making the trip. However, I gave this trip 4 stars instead of 5 due to our guide. Barbara seemed to be more interested in taking pictures for her other Instagram influencer job instead of making sure the passengers were taken care of. We went over two hours without a comfort break, she was not forthcoming about the trip information or sites until we were arriving at or flying past them, she drove too fast (described by another passenger as "hurtling") and slammed on the brakes throwing items and people around, and was quite flippant about things. Hope you get a better guide. We went on a different trip with another guide at the same company and he was fantastic so there is hope.
Majestic West Highlands Tour with Des
Janette_G, Aug 2023
An unforgettable three days exploring the West Highlands with our terrific, knowledgable, remarkably prompt guide, Des! Portree was a delightful hub (and we appreciated the advice to book dinners in advance--we enjoyed spectacular meals) and our B&B there in the heart of downtown was lovely! There is NO WAY we would have been able to so thoroughly enjoy the breathtaking vistas and explore the area without Des--the roads are neither for the faint of heart (nor those used to left-hand driving)! We didn't spot Nessie, but we did take years off our life at Glen Sligachen! In short, Des's deep knowledge and obvious love of the area we explored, amusing storytelling, attention to our group's preferences, and lovely accompaniment of some of our travel time with local music made this a simply flawless three days! We even saw the hairy coos (if no Westies outside of souvenir shops)! Highly recommend!
Worth It!

Amazing Time! This was a great experience to see a-lot in a small amount of time. This tour made me want to spend even more time in Scotland.
Just the best!
Nancy_C, Jul 2023
The entire experience was remarkable! Our Rabbi’s Tour Guide Grant was the best!! His knowledge of the area made our trip one to remember for years to come.
Highly recommended!
Shirley_H, Jul 2023
Our tour guide Declan was very good-he brought history alive with his descriptions of many of the events that shaped Scotland. As a Scot, I was surprised by how much I didn't know about our story. A great mix of history, humour and geology made this trip very enjoyable.
History and Mystery Comes Alive
Fiona_D, Jun 2023
This was a fabulous experience. The natural beauty of the environment was overwhelming and our group leader, William, was knowledgeable and entertaining. His excellent driving on narrow roads on Skye was also something to behold! Loved how he matched traditional music to each leg of the journey. Many thanks for a wonderful, unforgettable experience.
Beautifull Highlands
Lorenzo_D, Jan 2023
We travel with Robbie, our tour guide, and other 14 people. We could see a lot of things and Robbie is well prepared on the story of Scotland and the places that we saw. He did a lot to ensure us a funny and comfortable trip.
Truly beautiful, informative and uniquely tailored, not to miss experience
Wendy_A, Dec 2022
Our guide Adam was amazing. Very knowledgeable and truly concerned that we had the best experience possible. Having never been to the Scottish highlands, this is not a trip to miss. If coming in winter, bring a warm, waterproof jacket, duck boots, a hat and gloves! Fantastic experience!!!
A wonderful taste of Skye and the Scottish Highlands
Lia_T, Dec 2022
This tour gave us a wonderful taste of the amazing beauty that Scotland has to offer. Our guide, Graeme, was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. The trip was very enjoyable from start to finish.
Isle of Skye what an adventure
Marwa_S, Dec 2022
What a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Peter(from Glasgow) was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable told us many stories and made sure we were all taken care of. We made lots of great stops and our bed and breakfast was really nice. The scenery in Skye is breathtaking this was definitely a memorable trip and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you rabbies for a wonderful trip! Will definitely book more trips in the future with rabbies
Stress free way to see the Highlands
Christa_F, Nov 2022
Our Guide made our experience feel very personalized, authentic and educational. The drive was beautiful and I felt like I really got a great taste of the Highlands. Highly recommend for adults. Really enjoyed Isle of Skye, especially since it was off season. Very much worth the money!
A really enjoyable trip.
Andrew_P, Nov 2022
We had a great time on our trip. Jim Devine was an awesome driver and tour guide, full of knowledge and stories which made the trip really entertaining. November was a great time to visit as it was quieter both on the roads and the places we visited, but you do need to come prepared for wind and rain. I highly recommend this trip and Rabbies.
Best days of my life!
Jerri_R, Oct 2022
An amazing trip. Our driver, Allen, was so helpful and accommodating. The participants on the bus became our friends while we traveled. The views were amazing and became more amazing as the trip progressed even though you didn’t think it could get better. Our b&b was amazing with a view of the water. I want to take a longer trip in the future.
A Grand Visit to the Highlands
Walter_I, Sep 2022
Rabbie’s was great! We had Ross for a driver/guide and were very happy. Highland scenery, castles, wildlife - excellent hotel (The Caledonian) in Portree. Good food all over! A great way to see this special part of Scotland. (We toured in early Oct.)
Thank you Jim Devine
Dianne_M, Sep 2022
The tour from beginning to end was a delight much due to Jim Devine who brought every historical site alive, while efficiently organising and driving us through the magnificent highlands and the rugged beauty of the Isle of Skye. His interesting stories compensated well for the unfriendly weather in Skye. We wished we could bundle Jim up and take us wherever we were going on the rest of our UK visit. Back now in Australia we reflect often on the pleasure of that tour.

This tour exceeded our expectations! It was educational, fun and exciting. All thanks to Rabbies and most importantly, our wonderful tour guide- Ray Micheal! He was a darling and we feel so lucky we got him as our guide. It wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t for him!!
Worth it!
Melanie_L, Jul 2022
The landscape is absolutely beautiful on the Isle of Skye. Truly a magical place and bucket list item. The tour was a great way to see the island and the must sees while not having to navigate around difficult terrain and 1 lane roads. Disappointed in viator because I had booked/purchased a B&B specifically to get that experience and they did not communicate that with the local tour company so we were put up in a hotel. Luckily the hotel was quaint and the owners wonderful so made us some breakfast in the morning. Our tour guide Ashleigh with Rabbies was second to none! She was so knowledgeable and really went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Booking through viator however as mentioned, I was disappointed when I had paid for something specifically and not received it. That’s what happens booking through 3rd party. I would recommend booking directly with Rabbie’s Tours in Edinburgh. The tour was 5 stars but viator not.
