Off the beaten path gem - even if rainy

Best way to ge the lay of the land n Edinburgh. Johann, our guide, was engaging and knowledgeable (and so patient when we were late for our pickup). We had the best time and really enjoyed getting to know our group a bit.

My brother and I loved this tour! We opted for the e-bike option, which was great for some of the steeper climbs on the route (there were only 2). Johann did a great job keeping us safe on the paths and roads. There were some parts of the tour we were on the roads, but he helped us navigate them safely, especially with some construction we hit at the beginning of the tour. I loved how small the group was, it really helped us enjoy every bit of this tour! This was the best part of our trip to Edinburgh!

We enjoyed beautiful scenery on this tour plus some historical info. Not a city tour, but more on the edges of the city, so biking is easier. The bikes are well-maintained and in great shape, sizes for everyone. Johann, was a great guide and happy to stop at any time for a photo. Terrain is good, route fun, and definitely a good workout!

Fantastic day!! Loved the off the beaten path tour and distance that only bikes could take you. The E-bikes made this easy and it was great to see parts of Edinburgh that tours generally never take you. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the trip fun! History stories of Scotland by Yohan was great, enjoyed his enthusiasm and jokes. The ebikes worked very well, Coble stones were a little bumpy but ease off the seats and you will be fine.

A different way of seeing Edinburgh in particular areas that we would never have visited in the day & a half that we were in the city. Johann was an excellent guide, communication between booking and pick up was excellent. The bikes we used were excellent and well maintained. Johann took us on a mixture of rail trails, roads (some closed to cars for bike only Sunday access). Along the way we stopped at a number of points of interest with historical commentary provided. A top way to see Edinburgh.

If you really want to see Edinburgh, look no further. Johann has you covered. He was an excellent tour guide and we learned more from him than the walking tours we did. Growing up in the area, Johann knows the history of Edinburgh, We were two families (from the US - AZ and WA) and a party of 9 with our kids ranging from 12-18. We used a combination of manual and electric bikes and really saw the city. We are very happy we did this tour.

Johan provided an excellent and varied overview of many parts of Edinburgh that most people don't see on traditional walking tours and it's even more fun on a bike. We covered a lot of ground and some of the hills were strenuous but if it's too much you just walk it up--not a big deal and most of the other terrain was flat.

16 mile ride with a few key stops. Rode the electric bike and hills were easy. Johan did a great job as a tour guide. He was well prepared with rain jackets, bike bags and water. Had a couple of issues with the bikes but Johan used his tool kit and expertise to fix in a timely manner. Went all around Edinburgh and even down to beach. Cobblestones were challenging on a bike but other than that I would highly recommend this tour. All people on tour were fit so we made good time.

This was way better than I hoped. We lucked out with a smaller group. We were able to transition quickly and hear everything. Johann was incredible. He made the day worth it. We went places I would not have thought to see this visit. And when we finished up, we were given a great recommendation for food. For those who are comfortable riding a bike, but may not be an athlete, be honest when booking. We had an e-bike that made the hills we went up manageable as a casual biker. The other family were avid bikers and rode a traditional bike. We are worked well together.
