    What To Expect

    At an afternoon departure time to suit your schedule, greet your guide at a central location. Following your cloaked guide, weave your wicked way through the shadow-shrouded streets of Edinburgh’s Old Town and gain insight into Edinburgh’s dark history.

    After the spooky scene has been established, descend to the vaults beneath Blair Street and feel a morbid chill permeate the air. Tentatively wander through darkened passages and hear gruesome tales of torture, murder, and body snatching.

    A very interesting visit of the vaults underneath the streets of Edinburgh and one you can't see otherwise, because said vaults are only accessible through a private building that conveniently belongs to the company that organises the tours. Our guide Neave was fascinating to listen to. She really has a knack for telling stories. She should become a teacher or something because she clearly has talent for keeping people interested. All in all, I strongly recommend this tour, since there's no other way to see the vaults!

    Very disappointed, wish I could get my money back. Spent an hour listening to someone talk about how they heard someone saw an apparition or felt a breeze on their neck. Would have been better with some historical crime like Burke and Hare murders. Instead they talked about how they found cobbler tools in the tunnel.

    All of the tour was interesting which was helped by our guide Mark. The stories of the ghosts and most of all The Watcher, vile person who preyed on the vulnerable late at night. Definitely worth a trip down to the vaults under Edinburgh’s deprived and sordid areas full of the smell of death, slums and decay…
