What To Expect

Your full-day excursion sets off from Edinburgh in the morning. Meet your guide in the city center and take a comfortable seat in a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach. Enjoy morning views of the city as you cross the Forth Road Bridge, one of the world's longest cantilever bridges.

Cruise through the Lowlands into the Highlands, where farmland gives way to mountains and thick forests, the setting for many historic tales such as ‘Birnam Wood’ in Macbeth. Your first stop is the Hermitage, a natural wonderland, for a stroll through fir-lined paths along the River Braan.

After your nature walk, climb back in the coach for a drive through the River Tay valley. Admire the winding river—the longest in Scotland—as you make your way to the charming town of Pitlochry. Here, enjoy free time to explore this popular vacation destination. Admire the architecture as you stroll past small shops and eateries, then grab lunch (own expense), and pop into a local whisky distillery.

Next, enjoy tasting the 'water of life' at Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery (or Glenturret Distillery if Dewar's is closed). The day finishes with a visit to Dunkeld Cathedral and the scenic areas of Dunkeld, Perth, and Kinross. After a day of sightseeing, relax for the ride back to Edinburgh, arriving at Waterloo Place in the evening.

What a great day! We’re so glad we booked this tour. Penny, our guide was excellent!!! She kept us entertained with history, stories and useful info as we drove through the countryside. The mini coach was comfortable and the group size of 16 was perfect. The day flew by and it was just the right mix of driving and spending time at the various stops. I also liked the mix of seeing the natural sights like the hermitage walk/queens view along with stopping at 2 cute little towns where we could have lunch and do a little exploring. And the distillery stop was great. I will recommend this to to anyone I know going to Edinburgh!! 🙌😊

A perfect day!

Our sweet busdriver mr Wallace who told stories that were so nice to listen to. A lovely person that wanted the best for us. Beautiful places to see and a very perfect day that included all you can want.

Great day trip with stop offs at some beautiful sites, plenty of time at each and Pete, our guide, was awesome. Really fun and memorable day!
A little bit of everything, in the best way

We had the most fabulous time with Penny. While the stops were short we were able to cover a lot. They did not seem excessively short. I do want to mention, to get the most out of Pitlochry I’d recommend bringing your own lunch or doing takeout and eating on the bus or you won’t have much time to pop into shops. While I was able to find free bathrooms places, bring some change for the public toilets. Penny, our guide, was so wonderful. She was kind and generous with her knowledge of Scottish geography, topography, and history. Because we booked on a Sunday the distillery closed early and we were able to make and extra stop to see some Highland Cows. I highly recommend this tour. It checked a lot of boxes for our first Scotland visit.

We ended up missing. the bus because we got lost (google maps will take you to the wrong place) but they were kind enough to let us join the whiskey tasting tour. Neil was great and gave the group an extra stop not. even on the. tour since we had extra time!
Day well spent
Steve_K, Aug 2023
The tour was good. We had a great guide, Bruce, who made the trip fun and filled the time sharing a lot of history and knowledge. I would say the trip was about 2 hours too long. I would have skipped the stop at The Hermitage and spent a bit more time in the small towns. The whiskey tour was very well done. All in all a day well spent.
A great day touring and sipping.

Beautiful day in Scotland with delicious food and whisky.

A lovely full day. Really kind and informative guide (such a treat to be driven everywhere and learn and laugh along the way). The Scottish scenery was beyond beautiful. We really enjoyed our lunch in the small town of Pitlochry and the distillery, Aberfeldy, was also an awesome experience.
Great day out.

Had a great day out. Kylie was amazing and found solutions due to the detour taken due to UCI cycle race road closures.
Perfect day trip from Edinburgh combining natural beauty, small village charm and whiskey tasting!

Perfect Trip With King Duncan
Linyi_T, Jul 2023
King Duncan is a super kind tour guide. He even designed every single part to make the whole trip chill and relaxed. To be more specific, he played “Nancy whisky” song and sang with it after we enjoyed wonderful whisky. Really enjoy this great tour. Thank you King Duncan😊
Interesting tour

The knowledge and the enthusiasm of the guide. The stops, with beautiful sights and lovely small towns.
Brilliant
Ella_L, Jul 2023
What an amazing experience to be able to take a trip through the Scottish Highlands. The scenery was breath taking, the taste of whisky whilst visiting Aberfeldy sensational, and the visits to little towns along the route an absolute treat. It was a privilege to get to see how beautiful Scotland is, and if anyone is considering a tour, Rabie Tours is a winner! But what makes this tour really amazing was our tour guide Lizzy! Lizzy was such an amazing story teller, telling us tales of the Vikings and Scottish warriors and leaving us with a piece of Scottish history embedded in our minds, never to be forgotten. Thank you Lizzy, you were amazing, your driving was amazing, your tour is amazing!
Thanks Lizzie
Zigzag_M, Jul 2023
The tour was super interesting and was definitely a day well spent. Our tour guide, Lizzie, was very knowledgeable. She was also a local, and filled the tour with personal stories that made it much more enjoyable. Thank you Lizzie for a great tour
Great Day Out
Karen_R, Jul 2023
Great day out, our tour guide, Wallace (Mark) was fantastic and made it a special day! We had lots of stops & plenty of time to see the sights & explore. Highly recommended!
Yes!
Kim_M, Jul 2023
Great tour with Duncan and Kailey! The only word of advice I have for future travelers is to be aware that you will be in a rather tight sitting arrangement with other tourists…. And not everyone is aware of personal hygiene…. If you are sensitive to smells, consider yourself warned. Otherwise, the experience was lovely.
