Terrible experience, almost a scam amho

I have been canceled last minute for no reason. All my friends stayed with me and we had not gone on the tour. Its very hard for them to obtain their money back. Terrible organisation, terrible service

Excellent whisky tour

We had an incredible experience - Gary was a great driver kept us safe and informed the entire time. The Dewars tour was outstanding. It took about 2 hours but we learned so much. It cost about £42 for two ppl and included 3 scotch and chocolate pairings at the end. Glenturret was the second tour and it was amazing as well. Overall we 100% would book this again. Excellent experience.

We had a wonderful time on our tour of the Highlands. Our guide, Stuart, was friendly and knowledgeable and curated a wonderful experience so that we could learn about and enjoy the area. I’d definitely recommend for any first timers in Scotland! My only piece of feedback is that the price is a bit steep when you consider the price of the experience as well as the price of the distillery and whiskey tastings. The tours at the distilleries are a bit repetitive, so paying twice for a similar experience on top of any souvenirs feels a bit redundant. Otherwise, great time and experience overall!

Stuart was an excellent guide and resource for scottish information. My best friend, James, had a wonderful time. We both enjoyed Stuart as our guide and wish he could have been our guide on our entire stay. He filled the tour with history, jokes, music and education. Everything Scotland and throughout the entire day. We would both highly recommend him to future tour groups. Thanks, Stuart!

We had a great experience and our guide Eric had a lot to do with it. A very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly guide. Thanks to him we saw many places in the highlands we wouldn’t have seen. We even learned about Scottish music. Whisky tour and tastings phenomenal.

Beyond the famous cat statue at Glenturret Distillery, I met current cats Turret (black) and Glen (orange). Lovely stream next to the property, and interesting glass in the gift shop. Glenturret and Dewars both had comfy places to sit and relax. Eric of Timberbush Tours was a top-knotch guide, full of interesting stories, historical facts available on the fly, interesting connections to Edinburgh Parliament history, all types of Scottish music, and jokes so bad they were great.

Buyer Beware

Timberbush Tours canceled our tour the morning of because they overbooked and our party of five was "the last to arrive." We were not late, we did not book last minute, we simply were the last to arrive prior to the agreed upon time. While we were offered a full refund, this cancellation left us completely up in the air. Timberbush Tours did not help to find us a similar replacement tour and did not offer us any other viable solutions. When we discussed this with other tour operators during our trip it turns out that this company in particular, Timberbush Tours, is known in Edinburgh for overbooking tours. This tour company should not be part of the Viator options.

Dear Joseph, Many thanks for leaving us your feedback. On the day of your tour the coach we had planned to use (a 19-seater vehicle) broke down and was not safe to use. We therefore had to use a 16-seater vehicle which forced us to cancel your booking. Unfortunately with it being very busy in Edinburgh there are no alternatives we could have offered you. We are very sorry this happened and I would not expect other tour companies to make these types of comments as they are having the same sorts of problems when vehicles break down. We would not be celebrating our 25th anniversary this year if we had the reputation you suggest we have. Kind regards, Lisa

Great driver, great group, good distillery’s, and spectacular scenery. The highlands are a wonder to behold. A long day, and not much legroom, but these are more than outweighed by the positives.

A wonderful experience all around!!! The scenery and whisky tours will not disappoint. Our guide, Stewart, was the best! He is friendly, informative and made the whole experience wonderful!
