Once you arrive to Kayak Village in the area of Las Croabas, Fajardo. Meet your host at Kiosk #11, second one on your right side after entering the gate. Parking is available free of charge, on the roundabout towards the left side of the entrance.

Maximum Weight Limit: 250 lbs PER ONE GUEST | up to 425 lbs COMBINED PER KAYAK
Minimum age is 6 years old | Participants Age 6-13 must be accompanied by an adult on the same kayak. Participants 14-17 must have an adult participating on the tour.
Not wheelchair accessible
Wear Comfortable clothes that can get wet (bathing suit shorts), shoes that can get wet (flip flops / water shoes), bring a towel and change of clothes (for after the excursion).
Odd number parties will be assigned on double kayaks during the tour.
Service animals allowed
Bring your cell phone during your travel (in the event that we need to contact you, or you need to contact us prior to the excursion)
This excursion requires a minimum of at least 6 total participants in order to provide the tour. In the event this minimum is not met, we will call 1-2 days prior to the excursion to go over alternative options (i.e. reschedule for a different date or time that has the minimum requirement, payment options for a private excursion, or cancel without penalty)

For safety reasons we requiere all guests are able to communicate in English or Spanish.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

This was a bucket list experience! Guides Noel, Annalise, and Miguel were great! Our group was full of kayakers with different skill levels and all guides were patient and helped the group complete the tour safely. The information was fascinating and the experience itself was once in a lifetime! I highly recommend this trip-just don’t Forget your water shoes!

Rude tour guide

Kayaking in the dark and having other kayakers pushing you off the side makes it tough. Making it even worse, the tour guide by name of Brian was exceptionally rude. Barked at us when he stop pedaling, " why does he still hear us splash our pedals, when he stopped. On top of that, he threatened if we splash one more time we will be towed by. This is on top of yelling at us to pedal harder. Which one is it? Brian needs an attitude readjustment class. He made this experience very upsetting for us. Would not recommend for beginners. David was the complete opposite which gave encouragement to the other new kayakers. Miguel was a fun and educational guide. And Eloise was nice with the pictures. Feels bad to have one bad attitude person ruin it for the rest of us.

Well run tour

We went on the earlier tour (6:15) and liked our choice. Got to paddle to the lagoon with some daylight through the mangroves and it was great. The paddle back in darkness was fine but happy to not be in darkness both ways. The tour is well run, great guides - shared some info about the bioluminescence while in the lagoon We did a number of tours and activities while visiting. This was relaxing, interesting, and we were glad we did it

The tour was overcrowded and resulted in an overwhelming experience. There were too many kayakers on the water, detracting from the time enjoying the bay. We spent more time navigating a cluster of kayaks coming and going from the lagoon, and connecting 15+ boats together to listen to the guide talk about the bay than actually getting to enjoy the beauty of the phytoplankton. The guides were great and talked about the area in a knowledgeable way, and I don’t think they could have done more with what they were given in terms of the amount of people on the water in their trip. This appears to be the status quo of the area, so I wouldn’t necessarily fault these guides for this experience leaving us frustrated.

Easy to work with, they need to trust the weatherman

I never had the experience. The customer service and booking were simple. My only reason for a 3 star review is because they canceled the trip 5 minutes prior after driving an hour. There were lightning storms all day, they could have made an easy call way earlier in the day. They did issue me a refund and were very kind. I just think they should make weather decisions sooner on obvious bad weather days with terrible forecasts. I'm sure it would have been a five star adventure if we ended up going.

The bay was very poor with the blue lighting.. sky’s cloudy so the star guide was pointless. Company simply should have.

However, when we notice the levels are low we give our guests a heads-up so each party can decide if they wish to continue with the tour. They refused service after trying to embarrassingly weighing my husband and they refused to refund our tour after we refused to step on the scale. We couples kayak all the time in DC with similar kayaks so we know we can ride on them without issue. We were with family and it was humiliating! This is a scam and the front desk person was incredibly demeaning and rude. Do not go!!!!

Each company has a weight limit and it is standard practice to weigh guests to avoid putting them and the guides in unstable and unsafe situations. Keep in mind each kayak has specifications, and these kayaks may look similar, but they are not the same ones you have used. Our company actually has one of the highest weight limits allowable in the area. No Bioluminescence, Lots of Hard Paddling

It was a beautiful night for kayaking. With that being said, we were told ahead of time that we wouldn’t be able to see the bioluminescence as well. I didn’t see it at all, even with the black tarp that we were told to put over our heads. It would have been a beautiful and peace tour if the guides were not rushing us. We did the tour in a much shorter time because the guides were rushing us the entire time and seemed to just want to get the tour over with. One of them actually hit me with his oar. I am not sure how an experienced kayaker accidentally did that?? I understand that you can’t control nature, and do appreciate that we were forewarned about the lack of bioluminescent visibility, but would have enjoyed it more if it were more leisurely and the guides talked more about the lagoon, the sea grass, etc.

This was a lot of fun. BUT: there were absolute beginners on this trip, at night. I don’t recommend this experience to absolute beginners. They caused chaos and frustration, for participants and the guides. Ideally folks would have paddled before or the guides would offer an experience for just beginners. The bioluminescent water was lovely. Beware, there is a strong odor outside, in the marina area of check in 🥴
