Suzanne_M, Apr 2023
We were on the train for our anniversary Nancy made our trip very fun and memorable!!
We would probably not do the bus your next time, after getting off the train and then onto bus - we would have had that time to explore on our own! Bus driver was great - buffet at the lodge was not very good.

Our railcart attendant Dennis was such a treasure, very kind and funny and the trip up to and from the Canyon was spectacular and full of information. I will be bringing as many people to this experience as I can for a unique way to see the Grand Canyom
Fun and stress free trip to GC

First time we went to the Grand Canyon we did it via a tour from Flagstaff. During that trip we learned about the train. This time we did the train, first class, with motor coach tour of the south rim. The train was great, and better than traveling by car imho. The couch tour, was good as well because you got to see two famous viewpoints, without walking (you get out of the bus, but you don't have to walk to these locations from the train platform). Well worth it imho. For little kids they have a bank and train robbery (beginning and end of trip), they have people who play live music, and great cabin attendants.
Great and fun time

Went with my wife. It was a fun experience. Employees were great. I will recommend this to friends and family.
A unique experience

Seeing the trees covered in snow and the elk herds on the train ride up was great. The train personnel were very friendly and attentive. The chairs were comfortable and the train was clean. This is my first experience riding a train other than a light rail and I would like to take a longer train ride in the future. It is a relaxing way to travel.
Best experience of my life

The ride through the Arizona countryside to the Grand Canyon was wonderful. Would do this again and again.
Glad we went by the train it was fun and easy. Staff wonderful.

the view by the hotel was beautiful.
The staff on train and at the shuttle were wonderful and caring and loaned me a wheel chair after I fell off curb by tour bus.

The Grand Canyon tour was great if the guide was a little verbose. "Conductor" on the way home pushed gratuities way too much and "robbers" we're too insistent on "robbing" passengers.
I hoe that I have summarized my concern and again my thanks for your response.
Wayne_W, Oct 2022
My experience with the trip was okay, the train ride was fun but the highlife was the tour of the grande canyon. My frustration with the tour agency was a promise that was made to me regarding a refund. To explain, when I originally book the trip I believe I did not mention the month and therefore the original booking was September rather than the plannned October and I explained this error to your agent, I asked if there might be a possibility of a refund for the September error and the response was I would hear from the company within 48 hours. It has been over a week and no response. I can be reached by phone (780-915-3551) or by email. Thanks for your consideration.
So so train trip

The train robbery was a lot of fun. Our car attendant, Michael, was awesome; he kept us engaged the whole trip and put out a great buffet for both trips. He had great stories about what we were seeing. The musicians were also very good. The whole experience was outstanding and we would highly recommend.
Beautiful & fantastic
beccyhunthotmailcouk, Jul 2022
The train journey was really lovely, first class seats were fantastic and our host in coconino was absolutely fantastic. The only let down was the lady taking photos as she was quite rude and not what was expected when everyone else was so lovely!! The route is fantastic and very scenic, the canyon its self didn’t disappoint. The complimentary snacks on the way home weren’t as great as the ones going out but that is being a little picky! All in all, the trip was fantastic and we would highly recommend it!!!
Fun for all
MaryEllen_B, Jun 2022
Fun time on the train. Our train host Rob was very helpful and entertaining. The cowboy entertainment was a real added bonus, especially for our grandsons. Bus trip around a bit frustrating due to delays and eating up free time. Bus driver was very knowledgeable as guide. Overall worth the day for sure!!!
Fun with friends
Anna_P, May 2022
The whole train ride was serene and fun. The singing and train robbery added a lot of extra fun too.
Overall a good day
Sherry_B, Apr 2022
We booked the train ride, bus ride and lunch. When we checked in we were able to upgrade to the dome car which turned out to be a very good move since the seats were smaller than I expected and there were open seats in the dome car so we were able to spread out. The lunch is not a buffet, it is a sandwich bag lunch with very few choices. The train ride was very pleasant but we could have done with the afternoon signer have a much lower volume. Highly recommend the bus tour, you see a lot with not a lot of hiking which is a good idea unless you are used to walking around at the higher altitude. Overall a very good experience and you can see a lot in one day booking the full tour.

Viator failed to add bus tour and lunch to our trip despite paying for it.
Since Viator is a third party app - no one could help us.
HOT lunch was a cold sandwich.
Train was great and Grand Canyon awesome.
The train is the best way
Arleen_M, Mar 2022
Taking the train is the best!! Great car ride. First class was worth the extra legroom, quiet ride, snacks, cash bar. Didn’t regret not buying the lunch. The tour bus was awesome. Great information
Great trip would do it again!!!
Susan_D, Mar 2022
The robbery on the way home. It was an easy going trip with lots of scenery and stories by the PSA, Dennis. He was most helpful and charming.
Can’t recommend the Grand Canyon Railway enough.
Carol_S, Feb 2022
The train ride was wonderful. First class tickets were well worth the cost. Our host, Rob, couldn’t have been more hospitable and entertaining. The entertainment was so much fun. The Grand Tour of the Canyon was so nice. Great trip.
Viator made a mistake
Mark_Z, Nov 2021
The railways was great but Viator booked me on a Tour that was not wheelchair accessible. I told them very clearly that I was in a wheelchair and they said everything was wheelchair accessible. It was not

Grand Canyon Railway is the only way to go
Marcia_T, Sep 2021
This was the most wonderful trip we have ever taken. The train ride was fabulous! There was a train robbery, musicians to entertain us and Josh to see to our every need. Then we arrived at the Grand Canyon and my breath was taken away. WOW! This is a must do trip.
Grand Canyon must!
Emily_K, Sep 2021
Excellent experience from start to finish! Highly recommend for a trip to the Grand Canyon, paired with the bus tour and lunch, was a perfect stress free day!
Non-compliance with masks ruined the trip.
Eric_J, Sep 2021
I made an informed decision to book this trip because masks were required. People all around were not wearing their masks correctly or at all which made the trip unemployable. The train attendant announced that people were required to wear masks, but one male guest in particular chose not to, and the train attendant could only do so much. The company needs to enforce the rules; just like with no smoking, non-compliance with mask wearing should get you kicked off the train.
Also we got a sack lunch with dried out sandwiches instead of the buffet lunch we paid for.
The cowboys put on a nice show. The entertainment was good.
