When we arrived, total white-out - zero visibility. It was snowing and windy. Our guide, Tim, was optimistic and upbeat despite the conditions. In the afternoon the sun came out, the white curtain lifted, and there was the GC in all its beauty. Tim was great, very knowledgeable . We had a great time.

Tim (from Canyon Dave's Tours) was a wonderful guide! He picked us up promptly from our Flagstaff VRBO nand drove us to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. He was knowledgeable about geography, geology, botany, and history. We stopped several times at various points, including lunch at the Yavapai Tavern. We learned so much but had fun in the process. If you only have a day to spend, I strongly recommend hiring a guide. It's money well worth spent!!!

Ask any question about the Canyon and you will get a straight forward, understandable answer. Our guide was well versed in geology, biology, history, and anthropology. He provided just enough information to help us make sense of what we were experiencing, but stopped short of "too much information". Many stops are available, but the stops selected for the tour were well chosen to illustrate points about geology, the river, an human occupation. In addition, our guide was very attentive to our needs and well being. This tour gets an A+ for comfort, interest, and entertainment.

A great tour. I have booked tours all over the work and this was a good one. I am so glad I booked this tour. I originally booked because I didn't want to drive, but the trip was simply amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable. He gave a lot of great information but did not bore us. He knew the local history had some great stories and also knew about the geological history and gave a great short lesson on the geology of the area. We were provided with information about the plants of the area in addition to the geologic handouts. My grand sons learned a lot more than they would have if I was trying to read from a guide book. I loved learning about the flora and fauna of the area. We had ample time at each stop to wander around and take photos. Lunch was a big surprise it was great that the grandkids could get their favorite PIZZA. I would do this again.

My husband and I had a wonderful day. Keaton is a well informed and friendly guide. The views are obviously outstanding, but the information about the history of the Canyon, the plant and wildlife along with the geology lesson was over the top. Highly recommend!

The perfect way to see the Grand Canyon!

We had a great time. I had read that if you drive to the Grand Canyon, that you get out look around for @20 minutes & that’s about it. I looked at the Viator tours because I knew there had to be more. This tour was perfect for me& my two teens. Our guide was easy going and showed us many different lookout points and told us great stories of the history of the Canyon. He also told us about trees and vegetation and how they were used by the native Americans for food, baskets, bedding, etc. and about the animal life past& present. We learned about the different tribes and their beliefs. It was a real treat to relax and eat a picnic lunch in a shady spot and take it all in. I use Viator tours when traveling in Europe. No matter the experience, they never disappoint.
