Alexandra was a fantastic tour guide and did a great job explaining everything we saw. She kept us moving at a very nice pace. Truly one of the best tours in Florence.

Valentina was very knowledgeable about Cathedral and Duomo. She was very detailed oriented in her presentation of all that we viewed that day. Having a tour guide with a rich knowledge and appreciation helps to bring the tour of the building and its structures to another level. Being able to bypass lines and maneuver more quickly is a definite benefit as well.
A beautiful experience

The guide was so knowledgeable and spoke in a way that he was passionate about what he was sharing with us. We had a wonderful time on this tour. And climbing the 463 stairs to the top of the dome was worth the view.
Grand tour!

Chiara was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the whole complex. She gave wonderful insights about the Baptistry and the Duomo. I have been to the Duomo twice in the past and have never taken a tour and I am so glad we did this time.

Our tour guide was exceptional. Knowledgeable, kind and enthusiastic. It was our most memorable and enjoyable experience in Florence. Would highly recommend.

Great host. 2 hours through the cathedral and museum then an hour climb up the comb. Be aware, it is a very small space to climb up and down, though amazing views from the top.
Great small group tour.

Excellent tour with Alessandra. Incredibly knowledgeable, personable and informative. Started with the Baptistry, then an amazing tour or the cathedral and museum. Note that you do climb the Duomo on your own.
Fantastic Tour of the Duomo Complex
Andrew_F, Jul 2022
Riccardo was a fantastic guide. He is a history teacher and that background was awesome. We toured the complex area and he gave us the history of the area. We were able to enter the Baptistry and see the amazing mosaics. He gave us a knowledgeable discussion of the site, and then we moved onto the Cathedral. We were able to see inside it, but the purpose was to climb the stairs to the catwalk. This was truly a memorable experience. He was careful to stop at key areas and explain more about the history and the art of the Cathedral. Afterwards, he took us to the museum that is adjacent and we were able to see the original baptistry doors which was amazing, and also Michelangelo's Pieta(s). It was a fantastic tour.

Overpriced and miscontructed and sold deceptively ! Viator is is taking way way way too much money for a 20 dollar tour ! This was total garbage
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Hi Eric, I am very sorry to read this review. We tried reaching out and asking you what went wrong during the tour but you never responded. We asked other people on the tour ( who totally loved it ) and they said you booked a very similar tour the day before and that you left our tour early. I am not sure why you would book a similar tour. You joined the most comprehensive tour in Florence led by a top-quality tour guide and were not able to enjoy it because you saw the sites the day before. I am sorry this has happened to you, travel can be confusing. But we have fulfilled our responsibility on the tour as we promised in the tour description. You must also check your facts that only the ticket cost of this tour is 60Euros.
Great , interesting tour !

Our tour guide was wonderful...so well informed and took all of our questions !! The dome is "fun " to climb...worth the many steps ! The museum she showed us was fabulous ! Recommend the tour.
Nice your guide who loves art
Myoung_K, May 2022
The guide was great and had a great passion for art history. We loved listening to her. My only comment is that it wasn’t obvious to us that we wouldn’t start with climbing the duomo at 9:30 which was what I thought I was booking. We got tickets for later and it was quite hot. But the tour guide was very nice

Thanks a lot for your review, it is very important for us. Federica is indeed a superb guide and a very pleasant person. Cathedral in Florence has many parts that we visit on this tour and our guides try to give a whole picture of the religious center. Generally speaking, the Cupola climb is done at the end of the tour once we are finished with the Museum, Baptistery, and the Cathedral. This is mainly because everyone takes their own time climbing up the many steps up. Another reason is that due to restrictions, few people are allowed at the same time and we want to give enough time to our customers if they want to stay longer at the end of the tour. I hope this sounds fair. Thanks again for joining our tour in Florence and we look forward to seeing you once more on another tour across Europe.
Wonderful Tour!
Denise_D, May 2022
Our tour guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable. She gave us an in depth tour of the Duomo museum and baptistery which we probably wouldn’t have even gone into had we not booked the tour. The climb to the top of the Duomo is also spectacular. Highly recommend!
Terrible and waste of time … And money!
M_P, Nov 2021
The 3 hour tour was really a 2 hour rambling inside the museum. We could have done this on our own! There was NO tour inside the Duomo. Or the Baptistry… Or even a curated walk around the Duomo
Response from Host, Jun 2022
Hello! We are very sorry that you've had an unpleasant experience in Florence. We have done a rigorous search and we can not find your name on our booking list. We inquired with all of our guides and none has reported a tour with unhappy customers. We suspect that you are confusing this tour with another experience. Please get back to us with your full name and booking number so that we can look into this and try to find a way to understand what has happened.

I'd Give More Stars if I Could
Cecelia_H, Oct 2019
This turned out to be a private tour. I was supposed to tour the Duomo to the top but that didn't work out because of timing issues and because I had taken a tumble the previous day. The guide was simply incredible. We walked around the Baptistry and the church where she pointed out the salent features. Then we toured the Duomo Museum which is simply incredible. All three sets of the original doors are there although I only saw two. The third set is under going restoration. But one of the most compelling works of Donatello is in this museum and I recommend it. It is a formerly gilt wooden statue of Mary Magdalene called "Grieving Mary". It was severely damaged in the 1965 flood when the Arno surged its banks and did so much damage to the treasures of Florence. The guide was so good at her job, I walked away w/ such a better understanding of what I had seen.
Good Overview of the Duomo Complex
PaulP117, Sep 2019
Chiara our guide was very knowledgeable. We first toured the baptistery, then viewed the exterior of the Duomo, and also visited the Duomo museum with Chiara. She then put us in line (time specific) to climb the dome. I thought it was a bit confusing that there is no skip the line entrance to the Duomo itself. We would have planned a time to see the cathedral on our trip had we not know it was not included.
Deceptive Advertising of Tour
Nelson_F, Jul 2019
Our guide was knowledgeable and personable however the booking through Viator was a scam. They advertise that you’ll skip the line when in fact no one gets to skip the line of the Duomo. We paid a lot of money for nothing.
Response from Host, Jul 2019
We are very sorry that you think the description is incorrect. We only include pre-reserved tickets for the Dome climb. I believe there is always a misunderstanding between the words Duomo and dome. Here is what it says :" Visit the third largest church in the world dedicated to Santa Maria del Fiore, the Virgin of the Flower. Please note if there is a line then everybody waits to enter the Cathedral itself. Our Florence Duomo Complex tour covers the most predominant monument of Florence in the heart of the city and its complementing buildings in a very detailed way. Enjoy pre-reserved tickets to see Brunelleschi's astonishingly innovative dome. "
The description is a bit misleading
Takuo S, Jul 2019
The website says "skip the line duomo." It is true that they have a reserved ticket to climb up the dome of the duomo (a good experience), but that activity doesn't allow you to enter the main part of the church. If you want to enter the duomo sanctuary, you have to join the line and wait. We and another couple in the tour agreed that the description is misleading.
