Absolutely one of the highlights of our visit to Florence! John got us prepped and ready for our ride, we had no trouble with the route (though you do ride in traffic for a bit), but once in the countryside, it was beautiful with so many hidden gems, like lovely views, an unexpected monastery and museum, and a fun visit to a very special winery. My family all highly recommends this experience if you want to get out of the city and enjoy the country! John was so enthusiastic and friendly, and e-bikes worked great on those Tuscan hills☺️

Unforgettable experience!

This is such a wonderful bike ride! Just about 23 miles out to a town just north of Florence with incredible views, then through the hills towards the vineyard. I loved that it was self-guided because I was traveling solo and could go at my own pace. John was so friendly and even met up with some of us halfway to make sure we didn’t get lost because there are some tricky turns! Best half-day experience in Florence if you love to ride e-bikes! Highly recommend

What an exceptional way to see so many different aspects of Florence and the surrounding area ! John got us prepared and ready for what to expect with our self guided tour. He was very thorough as to what to do and where to go. The bikes ran amazingly and the stop at the winery was so quaint. The beauty on this ride gained even more momentum - city, forest, river runs and hills. Would highly recommend this to anyone that is considering it

Great experience. One of the best tours I’ve had with Viator in the world! John was extremely funny and easy to work with. You will love this tour! The E bikes worked exactly as designed. You would never be able to do this with a regular bike due to some of the steep terrain. Incredible scenery, outside of the city of Florence, and gave you a great chance to see the Tuscany region.

John's enthusiasm and humor put us at ease and made us eager to try this adventure of an e-bike tour in the hills around Florence. We really enjoyed getting out of the city and into the countryside. The stop at the farm was so pretty and relaxing. We made a few wrong turns but got back on track easily. One of the highlights of our trip!

John gave us an excellent briefing about the e bikes and the route before we left the shop and it was easy to follow the route on the app via our mobile phones , route was very quiet once we left the city and got deep into the olive groves, the highlight was the visit to the vineyard where we rented towels and had a swim in their pool followed by a glass of wine and delicious platter of food - would highly recommend

We had an AMAZING journey on ebikes through the gorgeous hills of TUscany! My 12 year old was able to keep up with us and we spent 6 hours on a bike without a single complaint! The only thing I would change was the winery- food options weren't great and I just felt like they wanted money from us (even for water!) We would love to explore other wineries! But John was the BEST - sooo organized and engaging! We would do it again for sure!

The best bike tour ever! Super helpful route mapped and provided to us, a break down of the route with John beforehand helped prevent us from missing key stops and the winery visit. Self-guided so we could go at our own pace. And seeing the outskirts of the city and Tuscan countryside by bike was so lovely. Stopping at the winery to enjoy the wine, snacks and pool was the cherry on top in this summer heat!

A wonderful way to explore the Tuscan countryside! We loved the self-guided nature of this tour, which allowed us to go at our own pace and enjoy the beauty of the ride. The winery was charming, quiet and good - and John, the tour proprietor, is delightful and his orientation and instructions were very helpful. The downloaded map was very well planned (majority quiet country roads and bike lanes) and easy to follow. The e-bikes made for a really pleasant journey. We can’t wait to get the wine and olive oil the vineyard is shipping to us in the US! Such a lovely day!

Great views from the top of the hills surrounding Florence. Lovely stop for coffee at Fiesole followed by a fabulous lunch with wine tasting at the Fattoria di Poggiopiano Winery. Bikes were comfortable with powerful motors and solid brakes, making the hills a breeze.

We had a wonderful time riding through the Tuscan countryside on our self-paced, GPS mapped tour. We did get a flat tire on two of the bikes;but John was super responsive. He came and fixed it immediately and we were back on our way!

The route was very pretty with a lot of variety in scenery and was very achievable using the e-bikes. While the bikes were a little heavy they responded well with the majority of the ride using the Tour or EMTB option. There are some hills so a reasonable level of fitness would be helpful!

The view was absolutely amazing. John was great giving instructions and helping with map and directions. We had a flat tire at the vineyard and someone was there within 5-10 min to fix. Highly recommend this tour but you do need to be in somewhat physical shape ie can pedal uphill even though bike is electric and it makes it easy it’s not for those who never exercise. We had a family group of 10 and had a great time.
