We were able to be toured by the man himself, Elvis, who was amazing! My family was really so engaged the whole time and i am still amazed that my kids call this one of the most memorable experiences of their entire trip to Italy! It was awesome. We had Claudio, who was incredibly knowledgable, funny, and passionate during our tour. We learned so much about the David and Michelangelo, helping us develop a much deeper appreciation for what we saw and experienced. Would definitely recommend this tour. They were incredibly communicative with us leading up to the tour, making it easy to find and feel settled.

This is a “must do”! I actually felt sorry for the rest of the visitors to the Accademia and Michelangelo’s David who were not with us. Claudio is an incredible guide and storyteller, taking us behind the scenes into the life, craft, genius (and anguish) of Michelangelo. The tour is so much more than just the David— we saw many more sculptures of less renown but remarkable significance, though with Claudio’s contextualization, I was brought to tears when viewing David (and happily reassured that I am not alone— apparently, it happens :) I read reviews before booking this and was on the fence, but am so happy that we booked this. It was unbelievable! Click “Add to Cart”! Not to be missed.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Michelangelo and gave us super interesting details about his life and the politics involved in making David. She did a great job of maneuvering us around the smallish crowd so we could get great views of the sections of the art we were looking at. She was delightful, animated and passionate about her subjects, which weren’t limited to only David. Anyone going on this tour would be lucky to have her as their guide.

I'm so glad I booked this Accademia tour with this company. Our guide Claudio was absolutely lovely - in just 1 hour he told us the most interesting things about the main attractions in the gallery, most importantly, of course, the David. After hours and hours of different art and history tours in Italy over the week, my husband said this was his favorite because of how engaging and fascinating it was, how efficient and manageable the length of time, and just how impressive the David is in person - definitely do not miss it and do not go without someone who knows about it. Meeting up at the meeting point was no issue and whole process was seamless and delightful. Thank you Claudio!!

Don’t miss his Uffizi tour either! Elvis does not disappoint! We did the David tour with him and loved it so much we booked his Uffizi tour the next day! Honestly we were going to skip the Uffizi but Elvis made it completely worthwhile! Both were fantastic tours and he is passionate and insightful about art/history. We had to grab his information afterward because we will be recommending his tour to any friends or family who visit Florence!

Going to the Accademia and seeing the David sculpture was on our "must see" in Florence list. But just to see it is not enough, in my opinion. To have a guide was essential and more important than even getting to skip the line, was to hear about Michelangelo's life, the process of creating the David and other sculptures and pointing out all the nuances of the sculpture as you look at it from every angle, really enhances the experience. Our guide, Claudio (I think?), did an amazing job of enhancing the experience for us.
