Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa Semi-Independent Tour

Great to start tour early in Siena before the crowds built up and get a real feel for the city. Lunch provided was OK and provided good opportunity to meet others; rstaurant had great view of San Gimignano. Both San Gimignano and Pisa very busy and Pisa has lots of stalls and street sellers that detracts from the experience. We were looked after very well by Anna and Chiara who kept us to schedule and were very helpful.
Fantastic

As a family of five we enjoyed our tour and the guide did an amazing job telling the passengers all of the information in both Spanish and English. He was very helpful and gave great advice on where to go at each location

The guide Claudia and driver Giuseppe were perfect. The office should not have made us wait for the French however. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. They are late, their problem. Only change would be to have enough time in Pisa to climb the tower. Superb day though!

This tour is lovely. You get to see all the places and enjoy them in a very organized and simple way. It involves a lot of walking but it is very good indeed. We did it in Dec 2017, winter time, with my family 6 members and we all agree that this was a wonderful experience. If you want to see all these places and don't have the time to spent a day or two in each place, this tour is highly really recommendable.

This was a fantastic tour and although a very long day, well worth doing. What made the tour was our fantastic tour guide Brando, who had a wonderful sense of humour and great knowledge.

I really enjoyed this tour. The drive through the countryside of Tuscany was worth the trip alone. Sienna is beautiful, the Compo and the cathedral. It would have been nice have spent longer there but that was not possible given the itinerary. The lunch at the winery was good and the restaurant had fantastic views towards San Gimignano in the distance. It was a very pleasant break at San Gimignano. The sight of the leaning tower and cathedral at Pisa is very familiar but when you actual see it for real it is quite breathtaking, if anything I think the outside of the cathedral and Baptistry are more impressive than the inside. Our guide Antonio was very good he spoke excellent English and Spanish. He was very pleasant and helpful throughout the trip and the commentary he gave during the coach travel was just right, he gave us interesting information without overwhelming us with it. I can certainly recommend this tour

A great way to see the countryside of Tuscany and some of the highlights if you only have one day. The main drawback is the short amount of time at each place - we had about an hour and a half in Siena, and an hour each in San Gimignano and Pisa. That was enough for Pisa, but I'd have liked more time to explore the other two places.

Our tour guide was Brando, who gave us a lot of information about Sienna, the area of Tuscany that we were driving through, and even the Benedictine monastery. We hit some traffic going into Sienna, though that's the fault of the city, not the driver or tour: it seems like there's only one way to the visitor's entrance, which means every car and tour bus has to take the same road. We didn't book the guided tour of Sienna since we didn't know it was available when we booked the tour. The guide offered it to us for an extra charge, but decided to walk around on our own. Then there was a lot of traffic going out of Sienna for the same reason: way too many cars and buses trying to use the same small roads. Overall, the time spent in Sienna was just enough to get a taste of the city. We were able to take plenty of pictures, do a little shopping, and even get some gelato before heading back to the bus. We then drove to the next stop: lunch in a restaurant that overlooked the Tuscan countryside with San Gimignano in the distance. Lunch was: an appetizer of bread, cheese, and meat, then a main course of rigatoni with meat and light sauce, and then desert wine and biscotti. Different types of wine were served at each course. Then we continued on to San Gimignano. This is a medieval town that's become over-run with tourists. Seriously, there are were a lot of people and a lot of tour groups when we got there. The gelato store is supposed to be one of the best in Europe and the long line proved it. Unfortunately, we only about an hour to walk around, take pictures, shop, stand in line for gelato or not, and then make it back to the bus for the next stop. We then drove over to Pisa. When we got there, the choice was to take a shuttle train for 5 Euros per person or walk the approx 1 mile from the parking lot to the monuments. It would have been nice if the cost of the shuttle train was included in the cost of the tour. Then Pisa itself is just the baptistery, cathedral, and of course, the famous leaning tower. There were long lines to get into everything, so we didn't have time to buy tickets to climb to the top of the tower. Since this tour does not include tickets to the Pisa tower, you'd have to buy them on your own. However, the tour doesn't guarantee that the group will be in Pisa at a specific time, so you can't buy tickets in advance. And by the time you actually get there, tickets might be sold out or you may not have enough time to wait in line.

It's a long day, but the tour was well run and well scheduled. Of course, this is not the best way to visit the area, but if your time is limited and you want at least an introduction to the are, this is the way.

This was a great tour that allowed us to see a few places in a short time. Siena and San Gimignano are both amazing places. The tour guide was really good and made the trip much more interesting for us. The coach was very comfortable. This tour gives you a taster of each place if you are short on time. All in all highly recommended.

This was a good value tour with a good amount of time at each location. There are some long stretches of walking, with up hill sections which were problematic for some. The tour guide also goes at a fair pace so takes some keeping up with. Overall I would recommend this tour.

This tour could have excluded Siena or not stayed there. San Gimignano was unbelieveable, enjoyed that the best. In Pisa we only got 45 minutes. Not enough time to go up in the Leaning Tower. Was very disappointed. There was the 4 of us and my daughter will not get another chance to go back there. It was very upsetting to be there only 45 minutes!!!!!!! Would not recommend this tour.

Overall, very good tour. The driver and guide were friendly and reliable (we had Raul and Caterina), very informative as to the region. Pluses: excellent farm lunch and wine tasting; lovely scenery; freedom to wander unguided for a bit. Negatives: rushed in Pisa (only one hour to see everything).
