You do walk a lot but it was totally worth it.
We highly recommend this tour and especially Christy if you can get her.

Giorgio was such a nice guy. He took us to the food market to start with, to see what the local farmers use for ingredients and then took us to try local coffee, amazing fried foods, charcuterie and gelato. He also pointed out some historic sights among the way which I really appreciated.

We had a fantastic tour with Tommaso! He has a great personality which is a must on a tour like this as we were a small group and it could’ve been awkward otherwise. He’s knowledgeable about the landmarks around Florence and has anecdotes about all the areas tourists should see. We also never would’ve found half the places on our itinerary without him, and wouldn’t have tried most of the foods without having gone on this tour. I highly recommend this tour if you have a day in Florence and want to try out some classic local quick bites

This “food tour of Florence” went above and way beyond any expectation we could have imagined. Our guide Tommaso was absolutely incredible in his knowledge of food, preparation, taste and Italian cuisine. From the first introduction and his question of “how adventurous are you with food”, we were off and running! His food choices will follow your palate - for us it was starting with true unique Florentine sandwich shop. We then dined on focaccia paninis, tripe, lampredotto, puppa sandwich (cow udder), desserts and of course wine and negonis. Tomasso’s beautiful wife joined us on the tour tonight (he asked for permission first), to make this a perfect night in Italy we will never forget and felt like an evening out with old friends we have enjoyed all our life! Italy is full of food, music, art, history and Tommasso showed us a small piece of it tonight

We loved the different food, coffee and wine we were able to taste. The charcuterie board was so much food at the Prosuitto place. Giorgio was very nice, very friendly; however, he was very difficult to hear as he did not address the group as a whole. He held a lot of little conversations with parts of our group and then the others missed what he said. There didn't seem to be a 'routine' of his information. He answered all our questions, but we had to ask a lot to get information...He was super sweet though!

Our guide Tommaso was awesome!! He gave us a lot of info on the food but also on the city and its history. We really enjoyed hanging out with him for three hours, which has definitely not always been the case with other guides!

I regret to have done this tour. I was very excited, but ended up very disappointed. We have been traveling through parents, Florence and Rome. We love doing the tastings. This was called the 10 tasting of Florence. Unfortunately we went to three different stops where we had a cup of coffee, some weird fried food in a hole in the wall, also we had some gelato at the two hour mark. When I booked the store I requested gluten-free options, which was not given to me. The tour guide actually made me feel uncomfortable and told me that’s not possible when we met. This was not mentioned before. After two hours or so of not really getting anywhere with the tour guys, and after three stops we decided to call it quits. Our true guide to goes on our first job to the market where he explained the names of vegetables and fruits which we didn’t understand why we did that. This was not a tasting. Unfortunately our tour guide had very bad breath as well, We could not stand being near him. We left after being disappointed and cut the tour short. When you reached out to the company viator about a partial refund for our time and money spent about $260 Euros. They informed us they would not be able to do anything for us. I am only Writing this review to share my honest opinion. I would hate for anyone else has spent this much money and be disappointed and not get what they want from the description. I am a very well traveled person, and I’ve done many food tours.

A MUST for foodies in Florence

This was easily our favorite experience in Florence. Giorgio, our guide, is amazing. He introduced us to some of the most amazing food and drink, but it was listening to him explain the culture and history behind the culture and cuisine that really made it an experience for us. We will forever treasure this experience. Giorgio is the best!

Everything was great. All the tastings were unique and very enjoyable. The restaurant owners were very welcoming and excited to share a taste of their establishment. Our guide, Matteo, was interesting, and eager to please your taste buds. Highly recommend. There is a lot of walking. I clocked 6000 steps on this tour.

Meeting Alessandra was like running into my long time friend who I haven’t seen in awhile. She made my husband and I feel so right at home. Her lovely company and knowledge made for great conversation. The places she took us to were very unique and I don’t think we would have found them on our own. So needless to say Alessandra knew what she was doing because at every place we stopped it was like meeting family and friends over a great glass of wine. First stop at a little sandwich shop was a perfect introduction to the best bread ever paired with a glass of red wine. Walked and talked as if we were catching up on old times and stopped along the way for gelato more wine tastings and the best homemade pasta we had since we had been visiting. I think being around Alessandra made the food fabulous and the atmosphere electric. It was truly the best part of our trip in Florence. Alessandra made it so easy for us from where to meet her and making sure we knew our way back to our hotel. My husband and I never stopped talking about our evening out. Andrea was an excellent tour guide, providing lots of information on food and beverages in Florence. He is local and so knowledgeable about the city and where to get great food that isn't expensive, tea, beverages, gelato! We learned so much about the city in between places for sampling wonderful food.

Matteo was a superior guide, he was attentive to our needs as one in our party was having difficulty ambulating. We went to authentic Italian establishments and ate some of the best Italian food I have ever had. We asked Matteo to select for us and his selections were absolutely wonderful. We tried the soup made from day old bread, sausage, roast beef just a few of the tastings that we surprisingly loved! I would be remiss if I didn’t mentions the great wines we tasted. Along the way we learned some very interesting facts about Firenze. This was by far the best food tour I have been on and I have been on quite a few food tours in US and Italy.

Our tour guide was very nice and gave us some interesting history if the city of Florence. The food tastings were underwhelming. Mostly fried “street” foods, which would be fine if the price for the tour were more in line with the food offerings. Only one glass of house wine during the tour. Definitely not worth $125 per person.
