What To Expect

Your Tuscan cooking class will begin in central Florence, where you’ll join up with your small group near Piazza Santa Trinita. Follow your instructor across the Arno River where the cooking school is located.

Soak up the views of the iconic Ponte Vecchio as you cross the Arno before making your way into the modern kitchen. Tie on your provided apron, roll up your sleeves and get to work with the guidance of an expert chef. The menu tends to vary but typically comprises chicken stew, potato gnocchi and a dessert, such as the popular tiramisu. (A sample menu can be found in the Itinerary section below.) Hear about Tuscan culinary techniques and traditions as you prep and cook your meal.

Afterward, reap the benefits of all your hard work! Seated around your fellow chefs, enjoy your creations with a glass of local wine.

Once your stomach and taste buds have been sated, your Tuscan cooking class will conclude. You’ll leave with a recipe booklet so you can recreate your dishes back home.

Date Night!
Joseph_S, Nov 2022
My wife and I had a great experience with this cooking class! We made practical, delicious dishes. We also met some wonderful people who were in our group. It was a very fun way to spend our first night in Florence.
Great class!

Everything was well organized and the food was delicious! We made our 4 course meal, sat down together to eat it and then we received recipes to take home.
Hands-on experience and great meal
Louise_P, Nov 2022
Great instruction to complete meal; Chef able to engage all 9 of us; Took home printed copy of all items. The one concern area-after eating the meal we waited about 40 minutes wondering if there would be any type of "closing" or "good bye". We finally just got up. There was another group that arrived so perhaps this is why it happened. Overall, though, a wonderful experience and would do a class again.
A Great Evening in Florence!

The explanations and preparation of the recipes were direct and simple to follow. We enjoyed participating in the cooking. Met wonderful people and are our delicious food!!
Dont waste your money

The experience was a big disappointment. We shared a bench with 7 people we each got to either peel a mushroom of chop an onion or squeeze some spinach. The meal left a lot to the imagination. We made egg plant flan (which was more a pate the size of a 50p) spinach and riccotta balls (we each got 4 to eat) and a chicken thigh or leg (only one each) with nothing else and a pinacotta desert about the size of a small boiled egg. There was one bottle of red wine between 5 people which you could only have after preparing the food due to using sharp knifes. Totally over-rated
Delicious but simple

A simple classic (but delicious) Italian meal! My husband and I took this class and while the food was delicious, we found the group sizes to be a little too big for everyone to actually get hands-on experience. Additionally, there were some steps that the chef's completed behind the scenes so it felt like we weren't really cooking the whole meal. All in all, the meal was good but we didn't feel like we really got anything out of it that we couldn't have made at home.
Don’t do it

The experience was dismal from start to finish. As a traveler in an unfamiliar country, I took public transportation to get to the “meeting spot” ( they won’t disclose where you’re being taken to) the local public bus broke down, and we were stuck. I immediately reached out to the tour group- the lady was extremely rude, and very disrespectful to me. Explain to her what the situation was, and then I had concerns about us getting there on time. Her response to me was “that’s not my problem “nothing like Customer Service and understanding tourism. Despite my numerous attempts to explain to her that this was out of my control. She raised her voice, and became very belligerent with me.
Good class!

Very nice instructor with good teaching skills, good food! Would have liked more hands on experience.
Fun evening cooking the Tuscan way
Cindy_S, Aug 2022
Met at central location and walked to school nearby. Two groups (cooking with kids) and one without. So seemed a bit disorganized to start. Good instructions, we all participated and had plenty to eat. Unlimited Chianti wine while cooking and eating. Would do again.

The class was a lot of fun and the food was delicious!! We learned a lot and some great little cooking tricks!
Fun evening - didn’t want to leave
Holly_L, Aug 2022
Such fun. We got to know some great people and learned a lot. You don’t have to be a great cook to enjoy the class. Our group added salt to something we shouldn’t have and the experts were able to turn it around into something delicious. We were told that the most important part of cooking was learning to fix mistakes because they happen all the time. Highly recommend!
Great family-based activity in Florence. Cooking together
Advait_B, Aug 2022
This was one of the best experiences we had on a trip to Italy. The whole set up was done in a wonderful manner starting with appetizers Primo that is pasta, second which was a chicken dish, and finishing it off with dessert. The chef was super helpful and explain things in a great manner. Her name was Greta and we loved how she took time to show us the technique and explained the science behind it as well. We had two teenagers 13 and 15 with us and this was one of the highlights of the trip. I would highly recommend this to people with families as well as friends who are traveling to Florence .
Great people and geat instructor
STEVE_S, Jul 2022
Six people worked together to make the meal. What a wonderful way to socialize and still prepare a wonderful meal.
Fun in Florence
Jeff_B, Jul 2022
Was Fun to learn proper cooking techniques and professional cooking methods. I would recommend this class.
Fun, educational and great food
William_C, Jul 2022
This is perfect for kids and families. The staff were fun, the food was excellent and we learned so much. It was almost overwhelming. We picked this tour because it was a full meal -- not just the basics. It was well worth it. Only small complaints -- it was a long walk from the center of town and the place was more like a professional kitchen than a Tuscan house as some of the others offered. But the complexity of the food made it worth it.
You need to do it!!! So much fun!!!
Anna_W, Jul 2022
I can’t even begin to say enough good things about this cooking class! Amazing! Francesco was our lead chef and he was incredible, personable and knowledgeable. And the other people with us were a complete blast! We had an amazing time!!
Best.Class.Ever.
Mary_Q, Jul 2022
We can’t say enough good things about the cooking class with Francesco. Super skilled and super charming we learned things we thought we already knew! An amazing experience and highly recommended!!
Tasty, noisy, simple food
Jeffrey_J, Jun 2022
The chef was very attentive and helped everyone throughout the entire process. The recipes were easy, simple and extremely tasty. Given that there were too many people in the class. The room we sat in had 40plus people. Way too many to enjoy the dinner and have a conversation with table mates. It didn't help that the temperature during day was over 100 degrees.
Great experience
Mark_P, Jun 2022
Really fun experience. There was a kids class and an adult class. We took our 8 and 9 year old to the adult class and it went great. Would recommend.
Great experience!!!!
Carol_H, Jun 2022
