Seeing works of art I...

Seeing works of art I studied in university years ago was a dream come true. The audio guide was a trick to learn how to use. Staff weren’t very helpful in that they told us the wrong instructions but we figured it out.

We had a little trouble finding the ticket person. They were not exactly by door 1 and for some reason a "blue shirt" to us meant a light blue shirt, not navy blue. And the construction right outside door 1 did not help. But once they were located, we quickly received our passes and headed inside. Amazing is not adequate to describe all we saw. So much art work! Definitely worth skipping the line.

Great place to visit, but this particular package is a bit pricey

The Uffizi is a great experience for anybody into historical art, or (like me) with a desire to learn more about it. I can recommend a visit, generally. Paying the extra to skip the line is also definitely worth it. But the extra added on to get the audio tour seemed a bit expensive - especially when any ticket holder can get it when they enter the building. So, a great place to go, and I'd go again, but next time I'd just get 'skip the line' and buy the (very informative) audio guide when I get in.

Even if you have a prearranged "skip the line" ticket, plan to wait at least 30 minutes to get in. I was there at 8:45am and still had to wait. You can see alot of the same art by going to many of the church's around the area.

Well worth a visit, but be prepared to spend all day in there

The Uffizi is the place to go and discover the entire history of antiquity art from around Italy. It is a vast museum and you will do a lot of walking and it will take you hours to get around, with not many places to sit and rest up. That said the pictures, carvings etc on display are stunning and worthy of note. It's one of those tick boxes you have to make when you're in Florence, along with the Duomo. However, Accademia is not so inspiring, apart from The David by Michelangelo then you can see a lot more in the Uffizi.

Dear GinaW1226, we are sorry that you couldn't take part in our tour but it is necessary to clarify that on all the vouchers it is clearly specified that information: "To collect the audio guide inside the museum you have to show the original copy of your Identity Card or Passport, they will keep your ID document until the end of the visit when you will return the audio guide". This is one of the museum rules and it is strictly necessary to know it. We always recommend to read all the voucher information before joining the activity. Skip the line tickets from Viator, made the experience of entering the wonderful Uffisi easy. Although it was very cold so the "yellow" jacket ticket person, who had our tickets had a jacket on, so I had to search to find her. I looked for the skip the line entrance the day before, because there are a lot of entrances. Yes, the regular lines were long! Get the audio guide. Aloha

I arrived 30 minutes early to ensure I was with the correct group. After being told to go to 3 different areas I was finally given a ticket to go into door 1 and that was that. I took my ticket to the audio counter and was turned away as my ticket wasn’t valid. ~$63 for fast pass - that was it. I will never use Viator again

There were 1,000's of people lined up outside the Uffizi trying to find their tour directors and instructions. It was a mosh pit. It was a terrible experience. We thought we were paying for a skip the line tour which this wasn't. We just lined up like everyone else and paid a massive premium to do so. Could have just lined up in the public queue for 1/4 of the price and same access. It is such a massive gallery as well and it was just far too crowded and busy for us to enjoy it. Shame.

The Gallery was amazing! Our guide was there to check us in, but be aware the que to get thru security, was very long. We waiting and hour and a half to get into the museum. Once instead de the self guided tour worked great, but allow yourself a good two plus hours to see it all!

The Uffizi is a MUST see for any art lovers! ! We again selected the early morning ticket 09:00, and would recommend this. By the time we got out around 11:00, the skip-the-line ticket line was long. We did our homework and enjoyed Uffizi at our own pace. A wonderful gallery NOT TO BE MISSED!
