Helpful tour in a Giant Gallery.

This place is huge. I don’t know what we would have done without a tour. We spent hours in there and still feel like we only saw a minority of the entire museum. But the tour covered some of the best parts including Giotto, Raffaello, Da Vinci, and Michelangelo.

Our guide (sorry, I’ve forgotten his name) was informative and helpful, he structured the tour superbly so that we could see the evolution and development of different styles and techniques through some of the key works in this vast museum. Highly recommended!

My tour guide on 15 March 2023, and I am floggin' myself for not remembering her name, was outstanding. Highly professional and well spoken. Gave a broad history of the building, Medici family, evolution and cultural pressures of the 13th-14th century art, and insights into the individual artists. Very knowledgeable. One of the best and most prepared professional guides I have experienced.

Excellent tour of the Ufizzi gallery. It turned out to just be the 2 of us on the tour. Our guide Francesca was really knowledgeable and told us loads of interesting facts, linking it all together with the history of the time. Definitely benefitted from a guide, think we would otherwise have just have walked past the art works with no understanding, & no idea what we should prioritise seeing.

Jacomo (Hope I got that right) was awesome. He did a great job of weaving the history of Florence and how it tied into the works of Leornardo, Rafael, and Michaelangelo. I really appreciated his ability to highlight why each masterpiece had its unique story. Highly recommend this tour.

It was a bit challenging to find the location of the tour- the address provided took us to the museum exit- but f you walk down the street about a block the office was there... we spent about 30-45 minutes roaming around to finally find the location. The tour guide was very knowledgeable... and spent a LOT of time at each piece of art that she spoke about- but we only saw a very small portion of the art- and the tour ended due to the time. It was a shame to have missed some of the art. Also- we did see "The Tour Guy" which was also a Viator option and that guy was hilarious and gave a nice explanation of lots of the pieces. I would definitely book again with him... I would do lots of tours with his group! If you are a historian or love art- this guide was for you... if you are looking to know a little about lots- pick a different guide.
