An OK tour
Gail_S, Aug 2023
It was a fairly short trip and I found it a little bit dull but it gave us an idea of where things were.
Cheaper than a tour + bus ticket

Great way to get around town and learn a little history. Didn’t take the whole day and wayyyy easier to figure out than public transit
Great way to see overview of a new city

Nice way to get an overview of a new city and hear the highlights. We could have never covered that much ground and know what we were looking at !
Well worth it

A great way to see Galway and we incorporated a walk along the promenade too by hopping off and hopping on later. We then did the whole route again
Not worth it!!

This is not the same “hop on hop off” bus offered in other cities although it is advertised that way on the Viator site. There are 5 trips around the city all day ending in the early afternoon (well before dinner). We were here for two days thinking it would be a nice way to get around as it was in other cities like Dublin, Glasgow and Edinburgh - but in 48 hours I saw a total of 2 buses (we were in the city the entire time). Never once used this transportation and am still waiting on the refund. I would recommend the hop on hope off train through Galway - looks so cute and runs constantly.

Galway seen in a fun way

We had a wonderful tour of Galway! This tour allowed us to see the coast, which we loved. It also showed the down town area very well. We also liked that you could get off where you wanted by pushing a button. The whole loop is about an hour- great way to orient yourself!
Great way to see Galway

The bus ride was an excellent way to see parts of the city may not be able to see while visiting. It gives you an insight of places you may want to go that weren’t already on your schedule.

I recommend taking this tour upon arriving in Galway. It is an excellent way to get acquainted with all this gem of a city has to offer.
Great way to see Galway!

Informational commentary really helped us get a feeling for Galway and pointed out places we would like to go back to visit. Easy on and off features and good suggestions from the driver. Enjoyable one hour trip!
Great tour-enjoyed it very much

Enjoyed the narration during the tour. Enough information to make it interesting but not over load of facts and figures.
Not worth it with one bus only running.
Bob_C, Mar 2022
With the winter schedule the long waits for the bus precluded seeing things. The driver pleasantly agreed with us it wasn’t worth riding the bus. We walked and cabbed everything and it was fine and better without worrying about your bus. At least with only one bus running it’s a waste.

The voice doing the commentary was very easy to listen to. The views are unbelievable. Bus very clean and comfortable. Bus driver very pleasant
Very unhappy

I booked a hop on hop off bus for my two day stay in Galway, only to find out they was not running until the weekend, I booked it for tuesday and wednesday the 15th and 16th of september I was not told about this when booking on line.
Stay clear
Theresa_O, Sep 2020
Stay completely away from this company .. specifically picked my day to go on the tour .( tuesday). my father and sister were left walking around trying to find the ticket office.. only to find out that the company only runs on the weekend.. they still took my money and no customer service got back in touch with me .. appalling service ..

Worst experience ever! We waited 2.5 hours for a bus that never showed up. Contacted the company and no response. Waiting for a refund since we won’t be able to use the tickets. Should have never sold them to us when bus wasn’t running. Would never recommend.
Fantastic tour of Galway
