Had the most amazing time learning to bake scones, brown bread, and cook Irish stew. Kate has everything we needed, was patient with our lack of cooking skill, and helped us make the most amazing dinner!

I recently attended the baking class hosted by Kate, and it was a truly fantastic experience! From start to finish, Kate was an excellent teacher and guide, making sure that Lola and I were comfortable and confident in our baking skills. During the class, we learned how to make a variety of delicious pastries like scones, brown bread, and spelt bread. Kate provided us with step-by-step instructions and helpful tips, and she was always on hand to answer any questions we had. What I appreciated most about the class was how hands-on it was. We got to roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty, and really engage with the baking process. And the results were amazing! The scones were light and fluffy. Overall, I would highly recommend Kate's baking class to anyone who loves to bake or wants to learn how to bake. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced baker, you'll come away from this class with new skills, new recipes, and a newfound love of baking. Thank you, Kate, for a wonderful experience

Kate is a great host and instructor. She communicated well, telling us how to take the bus from Galway and she met us at the bus stop, taking us to her home. The baking class is in her home which makes the class more intimate. Kate is a professional cook and very friendly. She was patient and walked us through our baking process so that we ended up with excellent scones and breads. We recommend Kate and any of her classes.

Kate is a charming, professional baker! We had such a delightful afternoon together in her cozy Irish home. Kate guided us as we each baked batches of blueberry and orange zest scones then loaves of brown, seeded breads. Kate sent our goodies home with us, along with lots of her very own recipes!

Kate is a passionate and welcoming host. Getting to work with her in her own kitchen was a unique experience and highlight of our trip in Ireland. Getting to make and then take home the recipes and experience was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend people book this tour and do so directly through Kate’s website: Galway cookery classes: baking and cooking classes. This way a third party doesn’t take a 22% cut from what this endearing, hardworking business woman deserves.

Kate was wonderful! Her hospitality and ability to make you feel like family was evident as soon as she greets you. My husband and I took her Scone and Bread Making class. She made the class fun and we loved chatting with her! Her home is so cozy and inviting. It was easily one of our top experiences that we had while visiting Ireland. The scones were outrageously good! I would 100% recommend her classes if you are in Galway!

What an amazing way to get a bit of real Ireland. It was fun to do a non-touristy thing. My angsty teen even said it was a highlight. He never wants to get messy but Kate helped him jump right in. Even though he is a picky eater he ate some of the scones. (And loved them) My husband and I also enjoyed ourselves. So much fun.

Kate, our host and chef, welcomed us enthusiastically into her kitchen to the joy of making traditional Irish scones and breads. While I have enjoyed plenty of both neither my husband nor I have ever made them. The scones were the best we have ever eaten and their texture and lighteness was perfect. We are definitely take our new skill and her recipes home to share. Kate’s warm hospitality and passion for sharing the cooking and baking experience is matched by her natural Irish storytelling as well as her love for gardening. We saved enough time to meander through her extensive garden bursting with spring growth and colorful blooming. I would strongly recommend taking cooking with Kate. You will not only make great scones and traditional Irish breads you will have a fabulous time in her kitchen having fun.
