Depart from a centrally located pickup point in Geneva and relax during the scenic journey to Gruyeres by luxury coach. Enjoy a brief interlude in Broc to taste rich chocolate in a traditional factory, and then return to the vehicle for the remainder of the journey to Gruyeres. 

Continue to educate your palate with a visit to cheese dairy in Gruyeres and savor the creamy and pungent flavor of locally manufactured cheese. Spend some leisurely free time exploring the picturesque hilltop town independently, opting to visit the grand castle that overlooks the scenic region if you wish.

Where to start it was an excellent tour and Roger our guide and his driver exceeds expectations. There was dull moment and it was well planned and paced. Love the chocolatier and cheese factory. Impress with Swiss wines. But the medieval village was spectacular. A most of in the area.

The tour was very fun but our guide, Roger, was a little bit rude. He can be nice sometimes but just rude in some occasions. Besides that, we had a great visit to the different sites, tried the fondue as well and amazing sceneries 😍 we’re so glad we went :) highly recommended to anyone wanting to book this tour.

An amazing experience! We got all of the highlights of Switzerland in one day, and especially loved the chocolate museum. Note that this is the “upgraded” version which includes a fondue lunch at the cheese museum, and the train ride. In hindsight, we may have rather done the “downgraded” version to have our own lunch in Gruyeres and more time in Montreaux.

Cheese, chocolate and a panoramic train ride were all memorable parts of the experience-when selecting seats on the train,I suggest sitting on the opposite side of the doors that you board the train for unobstructed views of the lake and mountainous meadows. The tour takes the traveler out of Geneva and into the breathtaking countryside of Switzerland. After the cheese tasting experience, you’ll get the chance to stroll through the small but indescribably beautiful village of Gruyères. Leave time to walk to the castle and enjoy the views! The terminus of the train will be in the gorgeous lake town of Montreux. Once there, be sure to walk all the way down to the water because it’s the “Swiss Riviera” and the palm trees prove it!
Great experience, great guide, good value for money

Roger was a great guide. Had everything organized perfectly, on time and the source of great stories. Chocolate and cheese tours were interesting, cheese lunch was great (you don’t need to bring your own lunch!) and the castle and train ride were the highlights. Only minor issue was other passengers sat in the keytours reserved seats in train (there was a sign!) and conductor let them if they paid the additional feel of 5ch per person. Highly recommend the tour.

My experience of booking this tour

The trip was fine but the booking experience was very bad. I had booked my trip well in advance with proper credit card details. However on the day of payment I got message that payment is declined and that I need to rebook (which was with a higher cost). Which also I did and paid the money 2 days in advance as stipulated by the Viator app. However when we reached bus stand for the tour a very rude lady at the key tours office informed me that my trip is cancelled. I showed her the booking confirmation basis which we got the trip but she did not bother to apologise for the way she behaved. By the way the guide and driver Demetris was super nice and super efficient. Really liked him on the trip.

The town of Gruyère beautiful. Montreux, magnificent location needed more time there. No cheese tasting. Your communication slightly confusing. Should have written schedule for the day with locations and approximate times. Difficult to understand guide at times.

The most nice part was les Gruyères town, chocolate and tasting it wasn’t the best , waistline time And money , panoramic train wasn’t worth it too , I just recommend only going to the town .

This tour was great. the chocolate factory was amazing and the cheese museum informative. The fondue lunch was nice, good food and you have to get the hot chocolate at the chocolate factory. the train ride was nice.

The bus ride was comfortable, informative, and beautiful. The chocolate tour was interesting and filling-more chocolate than you can eat! The cheese tour was also interesting, with the cheese “tasting” afterwards, more of a full lunch, well worth it!

This trip was somewhat lack luster. Overpriced for what we did. The train ride was the best part! The chocolate and cheese factories were boring. Although the castle in Gruyère was interesting the town was nothing more than a tourist trap

Fabulous day of eating chocolate and cheese. The trip was very scenic and the stop at the medieval city of Gruyères was a bonus. The train through the mountains to come home was relaxing and very enjoyable.

Very good trip overall BUT would have missed it completely if I hadn’t emailed the day before to confirm the hotel pick up time. I had booked the trip with hotel pick up and this was confirmed on my booking with the name of the hotel, plus I had emailed at the time of booking (a couple of months before) to check they did hotel pick up and they confirmed this by return email. However, when I emailed the day before the trip to confirm the pick up time, they replied to say they didn’t do pick up and I should walk to the departure point, which was fine as it turned out to be fairly close. But if I hadn’t contacted them I would have been waiting at the hotel, not been picked up and would have missed the trip. This really is not acceptable.
