Tour departs from most Guadalajara hotels. If your hotel is not within the coverage area, you will be assigned to a nearby meeting point. The Drop off will be in 3 different meeting point: expo zone, minerva zone, downtown zone.

What To Expect

Rise early and meet your guide at your Guadalajara hotel to begin your adventure into the heart of the Jaliscan countryside. During your air-conditioned minivan journey to the town of Tequila, admire scenic sights of green, undulating hills before stopping to marvel at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed agave azul (blue agave) fields. Listen as your guide offers more information about the succulent agave plants and appreciate the natural splendor of the landscape.

Arrive at traditional Tequila and purchase an authentic Mexican lunch before continuing onto the tequila distillery. Tour the globally renowned distillery in a small group, immersing yourself in the past and present of tequila-making processes. Discover the drink’s illustrious history, uncovering its indigenous origins and witnessing the fermentation process in an establishment that has bottled the beverage for hundreds of years.

Take into account that there are two different options in this tour: traditional distillery or traditional distillery + Jose Cuervo Distillery. If you choose Jose Cuervo Distillery option you will spend 1 hour less in the magical town of Tequila.
You will have the opportunity of visiting Jose Cuervo distillery only if you select the option.

WORSE TOUR EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

Do not go on this tour it will surely disappoint you. We paid almost $500 for the four in our group and we were all disappointed and felt we were ripped off. Issues: #1 The bus arrived late to pick us up from our rental property. #2 The tour guide spoke mostly in Spanish and excluded us from the discussion or information she was sharing with the group. #3. We paid for a tour/distillery tasting at Jose Cuervo but we were not offered to taste any of their tequilas. #4. We were picked up at 9:30 AM and we weren't dropped off until 7:30 PM, we lost a whole day in Guadalajara to this awful awful tour. #5. We felt that we were dropped at certain spots at the convenience of the tour operator as a favor to their friends to provide business.

Great experience in Tequila Town

Carmen was amazing and our group was really fun. Even the roadside cantina stop turned into a party. We visited 3 distilleries and tasted some very excellent tequila. The company did a great job of communicating with us before the trip and our pickup and drop off was flawless. Great day trip out of Guadalajara

Great day-trip out of Guadalajara. Pick-up at hotel was on time. Our guide Carmen was knowledgeable and entertaining and went out of her way to provide a good experience. The majority of the tour was conducted in Spanish. Stopped at agave fields and then toured a tequila distillery, with tastings. Another stop for refreshments and then had a few hours free time in Tequila. I had less free time because I opted for the add-on tour of the Jose Cuervo hacienda in Tequila, which was great because it is a world unto itself, plus that tour was completely in English, and had the opportunity to taste even more tequila! I still had time for a very nice lunch in Tequila. A few things to mention: they greatly underestimate the time required for this day trip; I had initially been told that I would be dropped off at the end at 430pm, but that is when we left the town of Tequila to drive back to Guadalajara. Also there was a misunderstanding on the drop-off, I was under the impression that I would be brought back to my hotel, but it turned out you are supposed to be dropped off at one of a few main centers in town. Carmen and the bus driver were kind enough to swing by my hotel to drop me off. This trip was one of the highlights of my time in Guadalajara, thank you!

The overall experience was great! Driver was good and Verenice our tour guide was amazing. We went with friends. Only reason I did not put 5 star is that we did not go to Jose Cuervo. We went to a different tequila factory. If this is the case then the title of this booking needs to be changed. We traveled to visit this distillery and we got something else. Not the tour guides fault but the booking company.

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We started with a visit to local distillery, where we tried 6 different tequilas and learnt more about their production. Afterwards, we went to Tequila town which had a very cool vibe and live music on the streets. Only bad thing was that the visit to Jose Cuervo distillery was scheduled at 3pm (optional) and we arrived there at 2:15 super hungry. Therefore, you need to choose between going to a restaurant or visiting the distillery. Our group was lots of fun and continued hanging out even after the tour. I would recommend this tour

Superbe day with our guide Berenice who was super knowledgeable in Tequila and Tequila fabrication. She also ré ommended great restaurant in Tequila where food was amazing. The only con is the comfort of the bus which is worth in term of space between seats than travelling on spirits airlines

Highly recommend! Berenice is a great guide: very knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. Mario was a great driver. Greatly enjoyed the tour of a small distillery (Cuervo is currently closed due to COVID) and the time we had to explore the town of Tequila. Both Berenice and Mario went above and beyond to make this tour a terrific experience!

Overall the tour was great. We had a great tour guide Ramon and driver Saul who were nice, knowledgeable and friendly. We were taken the beautiful town of tequila and visited La Cofradía Tequileria. Our tour guide Abisail was awesome and nice. After the tour we had a couple of hours to eat and explore the town of Tequila. The only disappointment was that we were expecting to visit Jose Cuervo Distillery like stated on the add and were taken to La Cofradía without reason.
