Life Changing Beauty

If you do anything in Iceland, you must make time for this adventure. It’s a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget. And you must try and do it through Glacier Trips with Sindri who will give you the VIP tour and attention! He will make you feel very looked after and safe because he’s very knowledgeable and caring. I never thought I could do anything like this in my life but right away I was made to feel confident! For those of you saying it looks too expensive- you will realise in the first few minutes how hard Sindri and his company must work to give you this experience. Thanks Sindri and Glacier trips - hope we see you again some day! 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️🇮🇸
Great glacier hike

This was a highlight of our trip to Iceland - perfectly suited to our family of 4 and two friends with 3 teens in tow. Above or under the ice was equally interesting. The trek was not too challenging for our moderately mixed fitness group. We had all the right gear and were on the go the whole time - in a good way. Our guide - know as Stefan - was great, he was knowledgable and experienced and there was not a question he could not answer. The grandmother Moulin was incredible and we really felt we got to experience the glacier and all its magnificence freely, being guided professionally but not controlled. Can recommend this trip.

Best tour we could have gone with
Sophia_S, Feb 2023
Was an amazing experience, the ice caves were astounding to see in person. Got to see three different sections/depths to one large cave. And explore a second cave. The glacier walk was also amazing. So worth the price. Other groups seemed to not be in the cave for long (which is why I booked this company in the first place, I’d read other reviews for other companies complaining about lack of time in the actual caves), we were in for a couple hours. Our guide offered to help take photos, provide lighting advice in the cave for said photos, and we never felt rushed. If you’re going to cheap out whilst in Iceland, don’t cheap out on the ice cave tour. 100% use this company.
The best quality and the best value at the same time

Amazing! The trip was personal (only 6 people) and long! We did 5h30min, but there was no rush if we wanted to see more. The value is much higher than what you will get with one of these $150 trips. We did at least twice as much because 1h30min is walking and here you get 4h on the glacier rather than 1h. Also, the slightly cheaper trips resembled cattle rushed into the ice cave rather than people on vacation. I counted one group to be 25 people… I.e. pay a bit extra and get much more
Excellent Day on the Glacier!

Our tour on November 28 far exceeded our expectations. Based on reviews for other tour operators we were concerned that we would be rushed and subjected to large crowds. To the contrary, our guide Svarden (sorry about the spelling) kept things at a perfect pace and was able to avoid other groups at the Ice Cave, Blue Moulan and on the glacier. Most of the time, our small group of 6 had things to ourselves. Svarden went out of our way to make this a fun trip, while always keeping our safety first. He answered every question, let us tell him when we had spent enough time somewhere, happily took photos, and really helped us understand the geology of glacier and its changes over time. The Ice Cave was great. While other tourists we talked to complained that their tour just got them to the mouth of the cave with just enough time to take a picture, we were brought deep into glacier (3 rooms in) to the point of where things just became too small to proceed. The Blue Moulan was incredible. Descending into the hole down ice steps (secured with our harnesses to a guide rope) we wound deep through the beautiful narrow passages with 50 foot high walls of ice to where the stream dropped down an interior waterfall and out of sight. This was really one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. This tour ran a little longer (5-1/2 hours) and cost a little more than other tours leaving from the Glacier Lagoon, but was absolutely worth it. We highly recommend this tour and especially Glacier Trips.
