The Luau was such great...

The Luau was such great fun. Even though our bus was held up by traffic the man who checked us in made the wait in the traffic a pleasurable one. The view under the moon was exquisite. Would highly recommend this luau to everyone.

Most memorable was the Chief, he was funny. Luau is at the water park, and has waterfalls in the background, nice backdrop for the pictures. We had very nice buss driver, entertaining and helpful with tips on what we will experience. We got a transfer bus from wikiki and due to traffic, we arrived later, therefore we missed some beginning activities for guest volunteers one being (trying to make fire). Arrive in your own if you can for calmer, less rushed experience. We got middle package and that doesn't guarantee you will be second in line for food. Middle and last package go to eat by table rows, we ended up being one of the last, however there were still plenty of food. Overall it was a good luau to see.

The bus ride there was great, our guide did an amazing job of entertaining everyone, teaching us, and getting us comfortable talking to each other! When we arrived, the food was fantastic! I was trying to nurse my infant while walking my 3yr old through and my husband had our plates~ a very kind worker came to carry our plates and get us back to our seats without anything spilling! She also went to get our drinks so we didn’t have to get back up with the little ones! I was so very thankful for her kindness! The show itself was so entertaining and had us in awe as well as laughing! We had a great time and really enjoyed every bit of it!

Luau was very entertaining, can’t say the food was any good. Pork was very dry. Food not hot, drinks were not drinkable and service from wait staff was bad, not enough servers for the amount of people at Luau. Would not recommend to family or friends.

The dinner is great. The historic story were wonderful, the dancing and the stories of each tribes are excellent. We enjoyed it very. Stories tellers keep us entraining the whole evening.

It was ok. Did seem a bit commercial. It's at the wet n wild water park. There's liquor and a buffet. The buffet was very mediocre. The process of getting food pretty much guaranteed you wouldn't go back to the buffet But it was cool. Nothing to write home about. I hear the Polynesian center show is better but there's no alcohol

The cast is a group of very talented people. They work so well together and compliment each other's talents. They were so friendly walking around and doing pictures with us. The food was so good, tried some new foods and really enjoyed the cultural options.

Royal package is not really worth it.

The performers were great!!! I was very impressed by their talent. The Chief is a hilarious entertainer. The food was pretty good. I would NOT recommend the Royal Package. It is overpriced with not much to show for it. Overall, good experience.

Highly Recommend the Chief's Luau for Family Fun

The Chief's Luau is as authentic as it gets due to their main Host , Chief Sielu Avea. I first saw him perform at the Polynesian Cultural Center in 1987 as a teen ; in 1998 with my fiance (now wife) ; and finally , in 2023 , with my children which is currently held at the Wet and Wild. His enduring , often comedic, performances are a testament to his passion to spread the Polynesian spirit and Aloha to everyone who attends his luau. As the FIRST Polynesian Fire Knife World Champion , his individual responsibility to carry the show all by himself has understandably decreased over the years, but he unselfishly shares the stage with TWO other Fire Knife champions who are equally skilled. Cheif Sielu also sings while playing rhythm AND lead guitar with the band as the dancers flawlessly represent their respective cultures from islands that make up the Polynesia though their dance routines. The self serve, buffer style is fresh and delicious and I highly recommend spending a little extra for the "ROYAL" VIP service which comes with the Best view of the stage, a real flower Lei, and three complementary Mai Tai drinks. Fresh juice, water, and soda are also complementary. I also highly recommend to pay for the Hotel Pickup accommodation to alleviate the stress of driving through rush hour traffic. Our amazing bus driver (Meezy) and beautiful host (Ms. Kieko) entertained us throughout the trip and shared personal insight and family folklore of the local Hawaiian people. I've been to three luaus (Germaine's, Paradise Cove and Polynesian Cultural Center) in Oahu and two in Maui (Feast at Lele and Westin 's Wailele Luau) which are EQUALLY amazing in their own style, but Chief Sielu Avea makes his show stand out slightly higher than the others.

We were scheduled for what was to be my BDAY present at the end of our trip to Chief's Luau with transportation. The voucher said 5:00 p.m. I contacted Viator for our pick-up location and double-checked, and they said yes, it is at 5:00 p.m., as indicated in your voucher! We arrived at Prince Waikiki at 4:45 p.m. After waiting in the lobby till 5:20 p.m., we realized no one was picking us up! I called the tour provider twice, and no one answered! I called Viator, and they couldn't get them on the call either! After 30 minutes of being on hold, Viator admitted they were wrong, and the pick-up was at 4:00 p.m. Now, they are refusing to refund me even though I sent them the photos and proofs, like my coffee receipt from the coffee shop in the Prince Waikiki lobby, and they still won't refund me. I will never use Viator or recommend them to anyone! The customer service is terrible and, at times, insulting! That's after three different calls explaining how this reunited our vacation! We got nothing but sorry, but that is our policy! DO NOT USE THEM FOR BOOKINGS!

My sons really enjoyed the fire dance. They absolutely loved all the performances but they will forever remember the fire dancers. Food was great, the Chief was a Great Entertainer. We love the whole experience.
