This was a great experience from booking all the way through the end of the tour. The company was extremely professional. They took care of travel arrangements between Oahu and the big island and even called the night before the tour to ensure we had everything we needed. The tour itself was phenomenal. Volcanoes National Park was a highlight, but there was so much more we got to see! Our tour guide, Mel, was very knowledgeable about Hawaii culture and history, and entertaining as well! I would definitely recommend this tour!!!

Enjoyable experience

Mel was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and shared with us the history and traditions of Hawaii. The tour shuttle was comfortable and the flights from and back to Oahu were swift. We were able to visit all the sites advertised. Make sure to bring cash for the vendors and a camera for good memories

Getting the information for the flight to the Big Island was a hassle, spent 4 hours of vacation time just getting the flight information. Information says the tour starts at 8:00 however they don't state that you have to be to the Honolulu airport at 6:00 am which means your day starts at 4:00 am. Breakfast at the airport is way too expensive. I would give our tour guide Mel ten stars, he was helpful and every informative. He told us everything about the island and always made sure we were comfortable. He did not stop talking about the island until we got back to the airport.

Got to see Kilauea erupting and enjoyed walking the lava tubes! Would have liked to have time/opportunity to buy a tee shirt, to support national parks.

Mel, the driver cover all the bases and gave us a history of the island he gave us geology. He gave us botany, and he gave us volcanism with a lot more science. His knowledge is impeccable. My wife and I had a great time and we enjoy the excursion I recommend it highly.

Not worth the price

So it probably would have been cheaper and better to buy a plane ticket and rent a car. Most of the time was spent outside the volcano park. And not everyone was on the same flight so we waited about an hour for everyone to show up. Also our group had an extremely rude brat on the van that called a friend and put them on speaker phone on during the tour. Tour guide was great, but just not worth the money to not see the full national park. Could have cared less about the coffee tasting and the stop at cookie place.

Would definitely do this again!

Mel went out of his way to make sure we knew what to expect and he shared such history of the land and culture. We were in awe of the volcano activity we were able to explore. Definitely recommend!

Good choice for first time visitor to Big Island fron Oahu

This is the choice for first time visit to Big Island fron Oahu as it includes the return airplane ticket from Oahu to Big Island. We were welcomed and guided by Henry. He is so knowledgable about everything in either Big Island, or Hawaii. We have specially requested him to assist us on the second day.

Understanding the topography and history with our knowledgeable guide. I could have skipped the coffee farm and candy store which were more like overpriced shopping stops. I would have spent more time at VNP which was rushed and really the reason we took this tour.

We flew from Oahu to Big Island where we picked up the tour. There were only 6 people on the tour and we all got on very well. Our driver and commentator was very informative and a lot of fun. We visited a coffee farm and we able to taste a long list of coffee blends we'd never heard of before, which was great. We went to a beach with black sand and in theory turtles, but unfortunately they decided to stay away that day. We travelled across the island to an active volcano which was amazing. All in all a great day out.
