Our tour guide will meet guests inside the Starbucks location (914 Dallas Street, Houston, TX 77002) approximately 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. There is meter parking along Louisiana St and Milam St. and a Private Parking Garage located on 1110 Travis Street.*

We will ending our tour at the historic Rice Lofts! This is 5 blocks from where our initial meeting spot is located, and it is close by to all major parking garages. Our professional guide will be happy to walk your group back to the tour starting spot at the Starbucks per your preference.

My TX Vacation

Now I can really see Houston. The architecture was breathtaking. The history & flow to the outside world just amazing. I volunteer at the Alley Theater and was taken with how close I was the tunnel. Love the energy, knowledge of our guide. She was the best.

A Houston Must Do

First off Vanessa was the most prepared and knowledgeable tour guide I have ever experienced From her reaching out before the tour to follow up afterwards she was impeccable. The tunnel is much more than you can imagine. Like a full service city underground. Air conditioning also a plus on a hot Houston day. You have to do this tour. Well worth it.

Our guide was excellent and so knowledgeable. It’s a whole new world underground and definitely worth seeing. I highly recommend a guide for this so as to not miss out on the history of the buildings. However, it is our second tour with Viator and they need to fix their online booking. I had to call for assistance both times b/c booking wouldn’t let me confirm and it took the agent a considerable amount of time to complete the purchase.

I totally recommend this tour to anyone. The range of different styles of tunnels underground and buildings above ground was surprising. Especially loved the street art and older buildings. As promised there were lots of shops and eating places, and those locals back at work in the city were evident today. 🙂 Our guide was very informative and helpful taking photos.

Fascinating tour. I had no clue there was so much to see under downtown Houston. We were 3 generations, from 4 to 69. We decided not to finish, but I would do it again if I come back to Houston. I recommend this experience, especially during this hot spell. 100 degrees up stairs, cool in the tunnels. Vanessa was a fun tour director. Very helpful and kind enough to wait a few minutes for my son to catch up after he left his cell phone in the car. :)

As part of our protocol our guides are to report any abnormal behavior on tour and our tour guide reached out 15 minutes into the tour starting to mention that you were gunning questions at her and not letting others speak. Another guest reached out to the owner personally to inform us that this behavior lasted the whole tour. For any future guests joining us on tour, we strive for a 5 star experience on every single tour. We treat all our tour guests as we would want our family and friends to be shown around Houston. We do countless things before and after every tour that you would never receive from other tour companies. Sadly a three star review may lead you to believe that our tour guides are unprofessional and unprepared which cannot be further from the truth. Our tour guide also informed us that you were disappointed that the tunnels didn't have any dark or negative history. We recommend that you read descriptions of tours before booking. It's also not tour etiquette to try and "stump" the guide during a tour. Bless your heart
