What To Expect

Make your way to the pickup point in downtown Houston and climb aboard a double-decker, open-top bus for a sightseeing tour of the vibrant city. Cruise past landmarks like City Hall, Graffiti Park, Discovery Green Park, and Minute Maid Park while listening to illuminating audio commentary.

Next, transfer to a comfortable coach and travel to Space Center Houston. Hear of how astronauts and scientists plan most of the rocket launches and programs for NASA at this incredible location, and then climb aboard a tram for a tour of the Johnson Space Center.

During the tour, watch NASA staff at work, see old and new Mission Control centers, and be amazed by the Saturn V Rocket, the most powerful rocket ever built. Enjoy some leisurely free time to explore the exhibits in the Space Center Houston, opting to see Apollo 17 and a full-size replica of a space shuttle.

This is the highlight of many people’s trips to the space centre so it was frustrating to miss it.

By doing so, it would be faster getting in, and people would have the entire day until 5 PM to tour the space center.

The Houston Space Center is a must see; however, more presentations would enhance the experience.

Enjoyed the city tour and learning about Houston. The Space Centre visit was self directed, just a drop off and pick up but it was easy to find your way around. Sadly couldn’t book tram tours unless there in person. No time to see Mission Control ( extra cost) but overall very interesting and informative

The tour I selected was a combo for Houston city and the NASA tours. The city tour went great and it is a must see regardless of the hot/humid weather. The second half, ie the NASA part, was canceled on me as I was the only person booked for the tour. The touring company instead of honoring their commitment said I can get a refund or I can go on my own at my cost! With some deliberation, they offered to drop me at the NASA center but that I was on my own to return back. The NASA tour was my main purpose of picking this tour as I had planned on taking time to see it during my visit to Houston. That was a big disappointment but I wanted to see it anyway. Viator has to know this. Their partner company is not willing to fulfill their commitments. So I spent more $$ than the advertised price. Beware! Now I know not to choose Viator in the future unless they resolve this matter.

Why thr trams stopped for rain for nearly 3 hours of our 4 hour visit meant the inside of centre rammed and we could not see anthing. Also very poor for disabeled guests

The complementary city tour was nice and provided lots of interesting information about local history and the city itself. The visit to the NASA Space Centre was definitely a highlight that I will remember forever. Transfer was smooth and there was plenty of time to explore at your own leisure (4-4.5 hours) before being picked up again. It was really great to see so many iconic pieces in the history of space exploration. All up, a great day out.

Nice day out starting with a tour around the city on an open top bus with our guide Ben who was good. Then on to a coach for a trip out to the Space centre which is a very interesting place to spend a few hours. Highly recommended 👍

Easy way to visit NASA without using Uber.

An easy way to get to the NASA centre without using an Uber. There isn't much to see in the city tour part but you learn and see something new. More advice on what to visit would have been appreciated. Good easy transport to nasa, and we had over 4 hours at NASA. Uber possibly would have been a similar price for one person (much cheaper if two +).

Booked a NASA trip with control room tour. Tour was full, so I was told sorry. As I have already saw everything else this was the whole point of my visit.

Day trio to Nasa Space Center

Houston tour is very good, our driver for the tour and to/from Nasa was excellent. Have to sit upstairs on bus, so non accessible, my wife and I struggled due to knee issues. Nasa is very dark inside, with very little organisation. Took tram tour to Rocket Park (5 minutes away) and walked around, then waited 25 minutes for tram back. People running all over main central area trying to find things, is actually quite dangerous. Two shops, one very small, but staff very helpful, other shop large, but overcrowded despite security regulating numbers. Kids again running in shop. Wide selection of souvenirs. Wanted to do Mission Command Tour, was extra price, (did not mind) but was told an hours wait. Too long in a four hour trip. Space shuttle on top of 737 plane is a wonderful image. Had picture taken on arrival, when went to collect it, image never developed. Bus Tour and Travel 4/5 Nasa 2/5 Never thought would say that, big fan, but needs reorganisation

Fantastic City Tour and NASA Space Center Combo

I wanted to visit the NASA Space Center but I did not want to drive and there was no public transport, so I decided to join this tour. The city tour exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly. I enjoyed listening to interesting facts about the city (things you wouldn't know just going around by yourself). They slowed the bus down at specific points for you to take photos. I loved the NASA Space Center. There was only one tram tour available on the day of my visit (Astronaut Training Facility and Rocket Park) and I got a ticket straightaway. You only get 4 hours at the Space Center but I managed to see a lot of things I wanted to see.

Really fun guides on both the city tour and the drive out to NASA Space Centre in Houston. City tour was good, despite Houston not being the most touristy of US cities. Really enjoyed the Space Centre and having the entry fee included was great as you could just walk in when you arrived rather than having to queue for a ticket.
