  • Tour time is a check-in time; departure is within 15 to 30 minutes.

  • The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
  • Service animals allowed
  • All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Infants must sit on laps
  • At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship.
  • Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes.

We loved this whale watching experience! We were well taken care of by Calvin, Brock and Captain Dustin, they were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were in awe as we watched the humpback whales, we saw at least a dozen whales while we were out. This was the best whale watching excursion we’ve been on. The boat was clean and comfortable too. We will definitely go on this excursion the next time we are in Juneau.

Best whale watching ever. Best crew ever: Ford, Jaden, and captain Mack. Can’t beat them! We saw dozens of whales, spouting, breaking the surface of the water, and many of them showing their flukes. But the best part of all was that we had some very entertaining whales, who were actually leaping up out of the water, and then splashing down. We were also blessed to have a beautifully sunny day. highly recommend this group as a tour group. We booked this independently not through our ship. Great price. Great adventure.

Our boat captain, AP, and Naturalist, Logan, were excellent! They were entertaining and very knowledgeable about whales, glaciers and SE Alaska. We saw lots of whales ( or maybe the same ones over and over) and got a lot of photos and videos. The snacks were great too! The two hours flew by snd we would do it again for sure.

We bypassed the cruise...

We bypassed the cruise lines and the dock side ques using Viator. Saved money and especially time which is something you just cant buy. The crew and the the transit all seemed to go seamlessly and you got a sense that they actually cared for the event. With so many cruise ships coming to port you really do need to choose a ship excursion anor an independent such as via Viator. DO NOT LEAVE IT TO THE LAST MINUTE. Park executives can alter the availability numbers with a stroke of the pen and I saw parties standing disappointed.

The boat was safe and comfortable. The guides were knowledgeable and personable. The Caleb was cautious and such a great host. BUT, the whale experience was spectacular. We saw many whales. The kids were ecstatic. It was o e of the most incredible excursion we've ever taken.

Our family group ranged in age from 7 to 76. It was our hope to see more than one kind of whale and to observe bubble feeding if possible. Our trip delivered both! We were blessed to see two "families" of Orcas. We moved farther out in the ocean and our guides helped us see the gulls which were circling over the water. In just a few seconds a large group of humpback whales surfaced in an incredible bubble-feeding experience. We could see the whales giant mouths opened and scooping up the herring. It will remain one of our greatest family experiences!
