The boat captain Marina was great and Emma the naturist was an amazing source of knowledge about the whales we were hoping to see. We did see whales and in spite of the weather the trip was a great value and a great experience.

This boat is smaller than most so you don't have to share this experience with tons of other tourists! It was raining and those who did not have rain gear were able to stay warm and dry inside and still see the whales. We did have rain gear and stood on the deck and were is awe of these magnificent creatures. Our captain and her crew did an amazing job of sighting the whales and getting us as close as is allowable by law!!!! We had many whale sightings (the crew actually knew some of the whales by name, and one young whale was having fun playing (see photo). We especially enjoyed watching a pod of whlales just swimming by!!!

AMAZING!!! Awesome trip with a wonderful crew. Not only will you see whales you will learn so much about them. We saw about 9 different whales and learned about their behavior. There was a mother and calf that we watched for a long time. It was a dream come true! I want to go again and will for sure have this company take us. They are a local outfit and care to make your experience personal.

I gave this tour 5 stars because once we connected it was a great tour with great guides! We did miss our 3pm tour due to lack of pickup directions at the cruise pier and lack of cell phone coverage (T-Mobile). We ended up paying an extra $15 to board a shuttle that took us into Juneau and met up with our tour. Luckily, they got us on the 4:30pm trip. James and Emma were really good on the tour, and we absolutely loved Maryna's enthusiasm as the naturalist on board. Again, saw many whales and it was a great tour after the weak start of picking us up.

Ever smell Humpback breath?

This was a great experience! You can’t go to Alaska and not go whale watching. We took about a 25 minute bus ride, went by a glacier, and then about half an hour on the water. The crew knows exactly where to go and how to maneuver once around the whales. We primarily saw humpbacks including a playful calf. We were downwind from 3 of them and could actually smell their breath. Just as we were leaving, a few of us were fortunate enough to see a complete breach and massive splash from one of these majestic giants! Highly recommend!

I was disappointed. Thought I would have seen many whales. I saw 2 and it was difficult to see from where I was sitting. I did go upstairs but it was cold and rainy.

Bus ride to the whales is awful but whale watching itself was AMAZING!

This review would have been 5 stars if the bus experience that got us to the tour was better. The bus experience was horrible. The bus was badly designed, uncomfortable seats and the driver was hard to understand. In addition, the driver made an exception for one customer only to take a photo when we arrived at the Mendenhall Visitors Center and snapped at me when I thought he said we could all get a photo. This was extremely disrespectful and unfair to the rest of the passengers and ruined the bus ride. Once we got off the awful bus, the actual whale watching was EXCELLENT. The boat was clean, comfortable and the crew was both funny and knowledgeable. They made us feel right at home and most importantly we saw incredible and majestic humpback whales! And sea lions! The experience was unforgettable and would have been 5 stars had it not been for the awful uncomfortable bus and what happened on our particular bus ride.

The all woman crew was amazing at getting us out on the water to see whales. We were able to see them bubble net feeding and then found a mom and baby. It was an incredible day. The boat was the perfect size to get out on the water and not too crowded. Everyone had a great seat for viewing. We would 100% book this tour again.
