Upon entering the Lihue Airport stay to the left towards the CARGO/HELIPORT. Take a left at the second stop sign and head north on Ahukini Road. Take the first right after the UPS Customer Center Drive and look for the Air Kauai sign. Park on the grass area and check-in in the black office.

Passengers must be 10yrs old or older to participate on the Doors Off flight. Only passengers 16 years old and older can be on an outside/edge seat.
Any passenger exceeding 230lbs or two passenger combined over 400lbs must purchase a comfort seat. This is an additional seat for comfort and safety.
This also applies to ANY single passenger weighing 250lbs or more no matter what the combined weight with others is. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Tennis Shoes must be worn, no flip flops are allowed on board of the aircraft

Our tour guide Steve was very informative and funny. The views of the Napali Coast line and the volcano were spectacular. This was our second helicopter tour, but the first time we did doors off and it was amazing.

Spectacular! Flying through the canyon and into the crater were the highlights, but the entire trip was incredible. Steve was the best and his commentary was super informative and fun. It’s a lot of money, but if you’ve never flown in a helicopter before, just do it, and Doors Off is a more immersive experience. They make sure you are tightly strapped in, and your headset and goggles are in place, so it’s not scary, just fun. Our whole family went and it was a highpoint of the vacation.

Kauai is a wonderful island with so much nature to marvel at. Last time I flew Air Kauai but not open doors, but this time it was supposed to be open doors, none of the other islands have, but I was really disappointed here. It was just too tight to sit in the back with 4 people and I sat on the outside and felt like I was about to fall out. One should leave one‘s hands and feet in, but where should one go with that? I hooked myself into the gentleman next to me so that I had something to hold on to and took a few photos with the other hand. I was glad when I had solid ground under me again. On the last flight there were only 3 people in the back and that is quite sufficient. And I have a height of about 176 cm and a weight of 66 Kilogram.

Incredible experience.. we were in Hawai’i for 15 days and this was our favorite experience. The pilot Steve is so knowledgeable and he truly takes you on an amazing and incredible adventure. This is the best way to see Kaua’i in its entirety. It was truly an incredible experience for take off to landing! You feel so safe and they provided the best experience.
