30 year anniversary celebration tour

Sean was our tour guide for our small party while my hubby and I celebrated our 30 year anniversary and our first trip to Hawaii. We decided doing this tour cause we wanted to see the canyons and explore some awesome places on this tour. He took his time telling us about all the areas he took us and even let us take our time when we stepped out of the van to take pictures, we highly recommend this tour. So much fun. 5 stars all the way…

Seeing the canyon that close. We’ve seen it from a helicopter and from a cruise up the coastline, but being in it is an amazing experience. Our guide Sean was amazing!

Me and my husband had the best time on the Secret Kauai Canyons & Coastlines tour! Sean was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the beautiful island of Kauai. He was very flexible and catered to what we wanted to see. He took us to some awesome hidden spots along Waimea Canyon where we were able to take the coolest photos. Aside from the Canyon, we visited the Spouting Horn, caught the perfect view of Ni‘ihau Island, stopped at Koke'e State Park, did a quick hike, and visited Kauai Coffee Company on the way back. We ended with the incredible view of the Shipwreck Beach area. It was a lot in a few hours but completely worth it! We love learning from a local's perspective/lens when we visit new places, and this was the perfect tour for that experience.

We had a great time. Our guide Shaun new all the local areas and was very knowledgeable. Whilst this tour is personalised to the user’s choice, I feel that there should be a standard island tour encompassing all sights for first time visitors. We had to choose what side of the island we wanted and not having been before didn’t know if we chose correctly. We’ll be back to Kauai though to see what we missed!

We were picked up at hotel by Sean and he made us feel right at home. He asked what we were interested in seeing and took us on a pleasant drive where we saw sea turtles sun bathing, the spiting horn blow hole, Kauai Coffee plantation, and the majestic Waimea Canyon. Sean knew some secret spots to get spectacular views of the canyon. He told us all things about the vegetation, history, culture, and life on Kauai. We stopped for a tasty lunch and headed back to the hotel it was a great experience.

Our guide (Sean) had so much knowledge about the island - I ended up recording him most of the time. A great opportunity to find those hidden spots of beauty. Truly personalized to your wishes- we had already driven a lot of the island and Sean took us to all new sights the entire time. Remember rental cars can’t go on dirt roads - this tour can !

Spectacular Day Trip / Must Do!!!

Sean was an awesome tour guide! And we loved that it was a private tour. He took us to spectacular lookouts with absolutely gorgeous views. He pointed out the different vegetation and we learned how they came to be on the island, how the natives used them and the importance of them today. He shared a wealth of information with us about the island’s history and also current issues the locals are dealing with today. Sean was energetic, friendly and professional. An absolute pleasure to spend the day with! We stopped at the delicious Midnight Bear Breads bakery in Hanapepe for a pastry snack (highly recommend!). We stopped at Koke’e State Park Lodge for restrooms and the gift shop. A cafe lunch there was an option, but we weren’t hungry. Sean also gave us all kinds of tips on what we could see and do on our own afterwards—during our stay in Kauai. My husband and I travel a lot and we do Viator tours almost everywhere. They never disappoint! But this one is among our most favorites. Thank you, Sean! Thank you, Viator :)

He took us to places that we never even dreamed of or knew about (and we did do research on Kauai before we came). Sean showed us places we hadn’t seen before! He is fun and very knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful island. One highlight was seeing the monk seals on Poipu Beach and then driving a few minutes and seeing the sea turtles swimming in the surf along the rocks. The Spouting Horn is really cool.
