Turn off KUHIO hwy into the shopping plaza with the green building which is across the street from the Shell gas station. Look for the STAND UP PADDLE shop and Dukes Kayak Adventures sandwich board next to it. Feel free to park nearby and your guide will meet you and take care of you from there.

Participants must be in good physical condition and able to hike approximately two miles through rocky, muddy and slippery terrain
Must wear shoes that are secure to your feet. No flip flops.

Please bring plenty of water.
Other recommended items to bring: swimsuits, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, snacks, and a towel.
Ziploc bags should be used for cell phones or cameras that are not waterproof
No alcohol
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
Check in starts 30-Minutes prior to start time, we depart on time and do not wait for late arrivals.
Not recommended for travelers with recent knee, ankle or back injuries

Our guide Brian was fun and energetic. The kayaking was relatively easy as the water is very still. The hike was a challenge as the path is slippery after any rain. But still easy enough for someone used to light to moderate physical activity. Waterfall was breathtaking and worth the journey. Definitely recommend going behind the waterfall if you are able.

So fun! The kayak trip on the way there and back was so pretty. The hike to the secret falls was a little slippery in some places but it had just rained - the actual waterfall and area was GORGEOUS and absolutely worth the trip! Highly recommend, especially taking the earliest trip as there were less people sitting around the falls and better for photos.

What an amazing day. Kayaking was a lot of fun and the hike into the falls was breathtaking. We hike in to see the spectacular falls and had a opportunity to soak in the beauty. Our guide Zakk was awesome. Taught is a lot about the foliage along the way and had a great sense of humor. They provided walking sticks which was really nice. I highly recommend this experience. Great way to see some beautiful scenery.

A great way to see part of Kauai’s landscape. A good tour guide sets the tone, and Kayak Zac was amazing! He’s a great teacher, proactively eliminating any common hiccups one might face when kayaking with a partner. He also kept things fun and light, while providing educational tidbits about the land we were roaming. Zac had a natural gift for positivity motivating our group to keep a nice pace that wasn’t too rushed or too slow. The whole experience was delightful!

My wife and I booked this excursion before we got to the island. We ended up not even getting to do the hiking portion of the excursion because the river was too high; which was fine because safety first. However, we were suppose to get contacted by the owner/operator about a possible reimbursement, but never got a call, email, or text. We honestly probably could’ve saved money by just renting a kayak and going up the river ourselves. All in all it was okay. Our guide Andy was super nice and informative.

We really enjoyed this trip! We enjoyed the kayaking a lot the river was beautiful! The hike was challenging but enjoyable as well. The highlight was reaching Secret Falls and swimming in thevpool and standing underneath the falls! It was awesome! Rob did a great job leading us and teaching us about the history. flora and fauna! We would do this again even knowing the challenges on the trail!

Our guide, Brian, was great. He made the outing so much fun with facts, jokes, and stories. He wistled for the native birds and called them by name, inviting them to perform for us. They even perched on his finger. All in all it was perfect. The only problem was with booking through Viator. We had our confirmation but the kayak trip folks didn't have us down for the morning but they were able to make room for us on the afternoon trip. Call the kayak place to confirm your booking ahead of time.
