We had the best time being personally showed around Ketchikan by the knowledgeable Shane. Being local he knew all the best places, interesting facts and local knowledge to make the place come alive for us. He waited patiently for us, until we spotted the black bears that we so desperately wanted to catch enjoying their lunch! He took us to waterfalls, fishing spots, totem poles and gave us a really good overview of living in such a beautiful place. Would highly recommend this tour to others who want an authentic experience.

Shane was a local and very knowledgeable of the area which gave a lot of value and insight into the local history of the area. Very enjoyable - would definitely recommend.

A big storm hit the Alaska coastline right when we were supposed to stop at Ketchican, and Princess cancelled the Ketchican stop to move to a prtected inlet, and our excursion was cancelled. We were so impressed that Viator refunded our payment for the excursion within one day

Great experience! I definitely recommend. Ryan was very knowledgeable about the history of Ketchikan and all the hidden gems. My favorite part was the 2 bear we seen.

While not exactly what I was hoping for, Shane took us to the same spots the other tour operators were going to. We saw four eagles and lots of salmon but, sadly, no bears. Overall, nice tour.

Not so great. The guide was great but the site to see the wildlife was too over crowded. Saw one bear which was way too far away and couldn’t enjoy because I think the bears were scared off.

Shane was a gem. A real character who was proud of his town and extremely knowledge. Small group touring. Fantastic sense of humour and we saw bears and eagles in the wild. Pick this tour!

The waterfall was really nice because we were up close to it. We were disappointed we didn’t see any bears. Saxon village was ok - only thing to see were the totem poles. We didn’t get to see the Sslmon ladder bc it was closed off
